Some covers make you choose between protection and hauling space. The BAKFlip G2 solves that with a quad-fold aluminum design that opens fully without needing to remove it. You can fold individual panels for partial access or flip the whole cover upright against the cab when you need the entire bed. Keeping your gear safe is simple with the G2’s automatic latching system. Each panel locks into place under its own weight, and when the tailgate is closed and locked, the bed is sealed tight. The sturdy 1/2" thick aluminum panels can’t be cut or pried up easily, adding a solid layer of theft resistance. You can drive confidently knowing your cargo is secured without extra locks or cables.
Rain, dust, and snow stay out thanks to matte black rubber seals that run all around the cover and a built-in drainage system. Any water that slips past the seams is guided through channels in the rails and exits through drain hoses behind the cab. The UV-resistant black paint finish and corrosion-proof aluminum construction keep the cover looking good and working smoothly season after season.
Each panel is made from rustproof, aircraft-grade aluminum with an insulated foam core for extra strength. The G2 can handle up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight when closed—strong enough to stand or sit on without flexing. The textured, black finish resists corrosion and fading, so the cover maintains its clean look even after years of sun and heavy use.
Installing the BAKFlip G2 doesn’t require special tools or drilling. The frame rails clamp inside the bed rails, and bolts secure the front hinge rail to the frame. Slotted brackets allow small adjustments to get a snug, even fit. In less time than it takes to mount most accessories, you can have a solid, low-profile cover that sits flush with the bed rails and stays compatible with rack-mounted gear.

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

After year of use I love the tonneau cover. had issues installing but after using for a year I would give it a five star.

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.

Generally this cover continues to perform well. There is a small leak, which I haven’t been able to locate, but it’s not enough to do any harm to whatever may be in the bed. I would still recommend this cover.

It has been holding on strong. One of the weather strips was coming undone, but I was able to adhere it back down.
