Heavy trailers and bed loads can make the rear end sag and the front lift, throwing off handling and braking. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 8,600 lbs of rear axle support with its hollow rubber springs that sit above the axle. The springs stiffen progressively as weight is added, keeping your vehicle level so steering, traction, and braking stay consistent even when towing or hauling serious weight.

Rough roads and bumps don’t have to beat you up. Timbren’s hollow rubber springs act like heavy-duty shock absorbers that soak up road impact before it reaches the cab. By cushioning bumps and potholes, they help deliver a smoother ride and reduce wear on your factory suspension. You’ll feel less bounce and sway whether you’re driving loaded or unloaded.

When a trailer starts to sway or a curve pushes you off balance, each Timbren spring reacts independently to keep your vehicle planted. That independent action cuts down on body roll in corners and helps control off-center loads so you stay stable in crosswinds, sharp turns, or uneven terrain. The result is steadier towing and more confidence behind the wheel.

No airlines, compressors, or gauges to deal with. The Timbren system bolts onto existing frame points above the rear axle using vehicle-specific brackets and hardware included in the kit. There’s no drilling required—just bolt it up and go. The durable rubber construction is built for long-term use with no maintenance needed, giving you peace of mind every time you haul a heavy load.

Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the Timber rear suspension enhancement system. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1967, the 1999 Ford F-600, F-700, and F-800 vehicles. Also the 1986 to 1997 Ford CF series and the 2000 to 2002 Ford F-650 and F-750 vehicles. Now, on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if these parts will work for your application. Now this will improve the suspension, handling, and safety of your vehicle, provides additional support as needed, so you always have a nice, smooth, comfortable ride. It allows the inaudible 00:00:40 spring ample movement while cushioning any light loads, and it does not affect the empty ride of your vehicle.
What's nice about it, they do become more rigid as more weight is added, so it increases stability, providing great performance while hauling heavy loads, and helps reduce vehicle sag.they do work independently side to side of each other. They help compensate for off center loads. Helps reduce body roll when swerving and turning corners. They will also act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of any bumps and rough roads. These will help extend the life of your vehicle's suspension.
It does include everything shown here, the two Aeon 00:01:15 hollow rubber springs, the vehicle-specific brackets for installation, and the mounting hardware. These do replace the axle bump stops on your frame. There's no drilling required. It does come with a nice set of detailed instructions.Specs on this is, capacity on them is 8600 pounds, but you do wanna make sure do not exceed your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. But that should do it for the review on the Timber rear suspension enhancement system..

It arrived quickly and installation was easy… I’ll wait to see how it performs, but for now, it looks great and fits very well… thank you very much.
Photos before and after
Installed on 2025 Ford F550. Installation was easy took about 2 hours to do front and rear bump stops. Used the supplied spacer ended up raising rear about a 1/2 inch which was the same as front. Purchased these due to truck sitting 1 1/2 inches lower on passenger side when Host Mammoth was loaded ( scaled at 18,600 lbs. with all tanks full). Didn’t have any excessive sway or bounce just not sitting as level as I would like. Did notice truck hitting bump stops a few times on both ends hoping theses smooth out the occasional bottoming out. Will update after I’ve loaded camper and made a few trips.
I installed these on three different trucks in a year, a 24 F350 CCLB Gas SRW to use with a smaller 9.6 Northern Lite truck camper, but decided I wanted to step up to a DRW, as I bought Northern Lite 10-2 instead. I traded that SRW and put these on a new 24 F350 diesel dually. Took that truck and 4000lb camper coast to coast and back. This year I traded that 24 F350 on a 25 F450. The Timbrens needed a 1" spacer for the F450, as the spring blocks are different. I called Timbren, and they sent me the spacers and longer bolts free of charge. Three trips so far this year with the truck camper on the F450. Couldn't be happier with the Timbrens. They have about 3/4" space when not loaded, so there is free spring movement, and they help with sway and level when loaded. I also added overload spring blocks of my own making, similar to the ones Timbrens sells.
Jesse M gave me expert advice and answered all my questions regarding the Timbren rear suspension enhancement system. I ordered the Timbrens and it took me a little over half an hour to install myself. I absolutely love the way the Timbrens leveled my sagging truck and greatly improved the stability of my ride. I carry a 2003 Northstar tc1000 pop-up camper on my 8ft bed. I highly recommend the Timbren rear suspension enhancement system. I attached a before and after photo.
Feels like it was a real help on the suspension but need about a year to get the full opinion on different roads.
Received the Timbren SES kit in today's mail around 11:30AM, already installed on my 2024 F-150 pickup's rear differential before 3:00PM same day. Like always etrailer's fast delivery time and product info with installation video on your website are very helpful. 1st photo OEM bump-stop, 2nd photo OEM bump-stop removed, 3rd & 4th photo Timbren SES kit installed.
Accolade XT 35L - Timbren SES (TFRSDE - 12k support) loaded in the sweet spot.
These Timbrens should be used on F600 and F550 models. Do NOT use the spacers that come in the box. Just install the Timbrens without the spacers and you are good to go. When FULLY loaded (full gas/water and gear), the Timbrens should compress about 1/2”, which seems to be the sweet spot. The end results are as follows:
1. Better bump absorption and much better rebound. The inside chatter is more of a low sounding rumble and the suspension rebound is really quick.
2. Much better sway control and overall stability.
3. The drive feels more balanced front to rear. The rear drop was reduced by 1”. I think that allows the leaf springs and shocks to work in a more neutral position.
These are worth every penny and are a cheap “set it and forget it”way to improve your ride quality!
Added these to my F250 Super Duty. I carry a golf cart on a Diamond back bed cover. Can be a little top heavy. Perfect addition to my suspension- greatly reduced the sway.
Easy to install using basic hand tools, and stopped the "sag" when I hook up my Casita travel trailer
Helps prevent about 1/2" of sag with my 175lb-tongue weight trailer and easy to install.
Great product. The ride and body roll at the rear axle are notceably improved (1989 Ford E350 Class C RV , 27 ft). I give it 4 stars because the installation was slightly complicated due to the rear brake lines needing to be slightly bent to provide clearance for the U bolts supplied in the kit. Great product and wish it came in a 5000 lb version.
2,000 miles in on a trip from the east coast to the Canadian Rockies these work great while loaded and towing. Close to zero bounce while towing, I love them. Unloaded, however, the ride in my 2026 Tundra has gone south. There is a noticeable, abrupt stop of the units hitting the axle when going over any kind of bump. When I get home and back to regular driving, I may just take them off, its that bad.
I've had these on our tow rig for a year now and I added buy them again today if I needed them.these have worked much better than airbags for our coil spring rear suspension to handle the tongue weight of our trailer. The SUV sits level when the trailer is on and it handles bumps and sway better than the airbags did providing much more comfort to us in the vehicle. Unloaded, we don't really notice they are there, unless, we have all the kids and some friends loaded up and you will fell them work when going over bumps.i do all my maintenance on the vehicle's and inspect these regularly and I cant see any wear so far even though we've gone on 6 trips with our trailer with about 5000 miles doing so.
I cant say these are the best for every truck or SUV, but for ours it is the best and I definitely would recommend to others.
Order came fast and right. E-Trailer gets it the first time !!
Installed fit perfect
Well they are exactly what I thought it would be. Hard for me to say it's what I needed yet.
I installed them on a homemade trailer from a salvaged 2001 base model tacoma. Once I get finished building it out and have some weight in it I'll have a better idea. But from what I've seen so far on a couple test drives they should come into effect when needed.
For reference I building an Tacoma based trailer with an ARE Contractor topper with a Naturnest roof top tent on the very top. So to counter and sway these should be very helpful. At least I hope so. I'm not an engineer but I did stay at an Holliday Inn once.
The Timbren SES is a simple solution for rear squat when towing. When hitched to my 30' Airstream Globetrotter (8800 GVWR) with a tongue weight around 1200 lbs, my Silverado 2500HD had a bit more squat than is ideal. I shopped airbags but didn't want to spend ~$2K for the set up and didn't want the hassle of installation and forever chasing air leaks. The Timbren SES literally installs on the Silverado in about 15 minutes. So simple. No bags, no compressor, no wiring, no air lines, no leaks. And WAY less expensive to boot. Just returned form a 600+ mile trip and it towed flawlessly.
A very simple and straightforward installation once you get the oem bumper stops off (had a shop do that)
Timbren worked with me as I had a non OEM frame height (vehicle was lower than stock) to recommend the proper kit. Highly recommend contacting timbren if you are unsure of the proper kit to use. Ride is more stable. It does feel stiffer and less bouncy but am looking forward to seeing how it performs with my truck camper. Truck is a 1998 dodge ram 2500. Brake line over left side of axle needed to be secured to prevent damage.
The Timbren overload spring/bumper was east to install and did what it was supposed to do when I hitched up a camp trailer. These did not negatively affect the ride by any means and I don't have to worry about the troubles with air bags.
Stiffens and corrects kneel in rear end of 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. You will notice a stiffening of the rear end suspension while unloaded, but it’s a fair trade off to prevent sagging and porpoising while towing. I found it easier to pull the rear wheels and work from the side than underneath the vehicle while installing.
The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. Looks good.
It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.
2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.
Great upgrade when pulling our 6500lb travel trailer. Helps with sag and control on the road on our Ram 1500. Change the stock shocks and if you choose, upgrade your stock springs, and you'll get the most out of your half ton.
Absolutely Pleased with the TIMBRENS. They were easy to install, and took less than an hour to install both. I noticed a slight stiffness in the ride as the rear bounced over a bad roadway. Towing is great, with a nice level and smooth ride. I am glad that I did not order the heavier duty Timbrens, than what was recomended for my truck. I believe the ride would have been too stiff. If you look at the photos showing the timbrens, the truck is still lifted in the rear, so what you see is a big gap between the rubber, and the steal plate. When the truck is lowered, there's 1" of space as it should be. BTW, I have been purchasing from etrailer for years now, and I have to say that I have never had any issues with any orders. They are my go to folks for all of my vehicle suppension stuff and trailer stuff. You can't go wrong with buying from them.
Easy install took about 20 minutes on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW. Had about 1/2 inch clearance as recommended. Loaded up my 5th wheel (2350 hitch weight) and about 200 lbs of gear in the bed. Just got back from a 800 mile camping trip through mountains of TN. You can really feel the difference around those sharp corners and uneven surfaces. The truck felt firm and controlled not hard and jarring as some have mentioned. Going over those overpasses with the wonderfully smooth (Not) joists was greatly improved. The truck would squat and rebound again, with a firm controlled response. Driving without a load felt the same as before without them. I would highly recommend these! Ordering from etrailer continues to be my go to option!
