Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the Pacbrake Alpha HD Pro airbag suspension kit with the internal jounce bumpers for your rear axle. This has a 5,000 pound load-leveling capacity. Now this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2001 to 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks, and it'll work on either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive models.
Now this is for all trucks including those with fifth-wheel hitches. One note is this will not fit cabin chassis vehicles. And on a custom-fit part like this, I like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the Fit Guide, put in your year, model, vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now these airbags are gonna help you stay level, drive steady, and stay in control when hauling heavy loads. It will include everything laid out here on the table.
It includes the air springs for the rear axle, the upper and lower roll plates, all the precision laser-cut, powder-coated steel mounting brackets. Also, the grade 5 plated hardware. Comes with airlines with the inflation valves. And right up here you can see the push-to-connect fittings for your airlines to connect to. Also comes with installation instructions that'll show how this all goes together.
Now, basically, when your trailer's loaded and the bed is full, your truck's gonna need more than just the stock rear springs to stay level and in control. That's where these Alpha HD Pro Air springs come into play. 'cause these are gonna add up to 5,000 pounds of rear axle support, helping your truck stay steady and secure through every haul. Now I did want to zoom in a little bit closer 'cause this isn't light-duty gear. These Alpha HD Pro springs are built with one-inch thick end caps on each spring, and they offer 20 internal wires to handle extreme loads without giving in. Parts are all corrosion-resistant parts. Roll plates right here give you protection for your airbags, and the powder-coated brackets will ensure the system will hold up through road salt, rain, mud, and even over time. Now these are designed to bolt to your factory mounting points on your truck. This air spring kit installs with no drilling or welding to the frame. These air springs will not increase your vehicle's weight-carrying capacity, so you want to make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. The brackets are not built heavy enough
good product , good strong solid metal parts and heavy bags. The instructions were not so hot but was easy to figure out and quick delivery !
Easy install. Will pull trailer 3000 miles on vacation and see how it performs to Montana on highways and Forest Service roads.
Where to start I have 1500 pounds of tools in my 150 Chevy had them installed and it totally changed the ride and handling of the truck haven’t pulled anything yet but I’m amazed on how different the truck is already I Baught the ones with the bump stops in them the HD ones

My experience with loading my truck and seeing the difference with these air bags from PacBrake, it does look way better and the truck feels a bit more stable running atspeed limit (65mph) after that it does feels jumpy if you go over potholes, but overall I'm happy with the product, thanks Etrailer,
2020 Ram 1500.
Installation is fidgety with lining everything together for the upper bracket with u-bolt(reason for 4 stars), but still preferred over cutting the bump stop mounts off. Replaced the Timbrens with this and it is night and day difference in ride quality both unloaded and towing.
Would purchase again.
Product is well constructed and installation is straightforward. But you cannot build the kit and slip it in, you have to leave the top bracket off and install it after setting the lower bracket and air bag in place. I will note, I was working off jack stands and a floor jack, not on a lift.
