Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com today, we're going to take a quick look, at this Rhino-Rack Custom RCP fit kit. This custom fit kit is going to allow you to Mount six Rhino-Rack RC or RV series legs, to your vehicle with fixed mounting points. This will work for the Rhino-Rack, RCH, RCL, RVH, and RVL Roof Rack Legs. And now this is just going to be one of the three components you need for your system. The base kit here, the leg kit, and the bars will all, need to be included for your system to work properly, but you can kind of see an assembled set here. So that square nut is going to slide into the track on the roof of your vehicle.
So it's been provided a nice solid connection, for those Rhino-Rack legs. They do include instructions with our very detailed descriptions or visuals on how to put this all together, and get it installed for you. So, if you aren't meeting the fit kit, for your rhino rack system, and, this is going to allow you to Mount six of those, Rhino-Rack legs for your setup. That's going to complete our look for today. While the fit is excellent on these feet, and the finish seemed good to start, after 2 years they have corroded and bubbled underneath the black coating. For the price, I expect them to last without corroding/finish failing for longer than that.

Really like the sleek look of these bars. Paired with the Rhino Quick Mount legs, they were a good solution for the Thule Tracker II rails installed on our truck cap.

We had been shopping around for roof options for our new 2022 grand Cherokee, when we came across this. For us, the OEM mopar crossbars were ugly - extend about 6 inches from the roof. These are very low profile, and insanely sturdy. Additionally, installation is crazy simple.
The only recommendation we have that differs from the instructions - we used the rear set of mounting holes on the factory rails. Using the front set of holes as recommended by the instructions for cross bars meant that ski racks would be too close together, and the ski bindings would not fit. Other than that, very satisfied!

These Rhino-Rack products are solid. Installation was quite simple. It took me no more than 2 hours from taking off the OEM rails to getting the crossbars to tighten down.
Keep in mind that these legs were designed for the Toyota Prado (it even says so on the installation guide). Once you remove the Lexus OEM rails, you will notice a groove, about 3/4" deep and 1-1/8" wide, alongside the roof. If your GX does not come with the OEM rails, the grooves might already be covered up by the factory drip trim pieces (Toyota PN 75557-60050, 75555-60030). This Rhino rack kit does not come with any hardware to cover up the grooves. I was told they would not cause any leaks because the mounting points are tightly sealed.
But if you have severe OCD like me, those grooves will be bothering you (even though you can't see them). Instead of paying over $xxx for the OEM trims pieces. Fill them up with some 3/4"wide 3/8 inch thick insulation tape, then tape a strip of 1" wide, 1/8" thick neoprene rubber strip on top. The end product looks just like OEM. I hope my simple idea will help other fellow OCD survivors.

I searched a lot of websites before finding what I needed on etrailer.com for my 2012 Suzuki GV. I was looking for the proper mounts to install a Kayak rack system. Because my vehicle has a built in rail system it was very confusing what was needed. Thank you etrailer for hooking me up with the appropriate parts for the Rhino system, it worked great!

It is crazy that larger bars like the 59" won't fit my car. When buying racks, the issue has always been that you can't go too small. But these have a 36" long metal obstruction in the bottom T bracket and so it limits how much the towers can come together. Get Malone, they are less expensive, have broader fit range, can handle longer bars and have an integrate lock.

Great item, pretty easy to install. I posted a longer review for the full setup on our 2019 Highlander with 2 biggish kayaks under reviews for the rack pillars, Item: RRRCL4. When fully tied down, we used hood loops front and rear for both boats.

Fitment is good, did not come with security capscrews even it included a security wrench. The rack can be removed with allen wrench.
When rack is in place, I cannot use the sunroof on 2023 Buick Enclave.

- Distance Between Legs/Crossbars for 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL Roof RacksHi Jeff; that makes sense but the only way to get that information will be for you to measure. When you have a clamp on rack the distances will be listed in instructions or a guide. Racks like the Yakima SkyLine Roof Rack # Y77TB fit on the fixed mounting points on your flush rails. You can measure from the inside to inside on those mounting points and it will give you a good idea where they will sit. One way or another you're pretty much stuck with that crossbar spread.
