I bought this cargo carrier for my family's epic road trip last year through Utah's Mighty Five National Parks which included time at the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, the Four Corners, and Monument Valley. For 12 days over 4000 miles we used this carrier to haul our adventure gear of backpacks, trekking poles, shoes, and extra supplies. We drove through Kansas thunderstorms and dusty Arizona desert roads undergoing construction. This carrier never failed and kept our gear out of the way and secure.
It is light weight and easy to install by one person. It has very little wind noise for being a behemoth strapped to the roof. I noticed about 4 mpg loss in fuel economy but that is to be expected.
I love that you can access your gear from either side and that you can't pull the key out while it's open. That's a great reminder to close it which also locks it shut.
Overall, a great product at a great price. Delivery was by lift gate truck on a pallet which is ironic given how light weight it is.
We collected National Park stickers everywhere we went to attach onto the carrier. It's a fun reminder of all the wonderful places we've been together as a family.

Used this with Rhino racks on top of 2013 Hyundai santé fe. Quick and easy to install. Light enough to install myself without help. Only issue was tight spacing of the lock downs to the roof racks. With the roof racks as close together as possible (fore-aft) using the factory holes on the car roof supports this barely was able to lock onto them. However, I got it installed but it was very very close to not fitting, as could have used larger spacing on the cargo carrier.

The Rhino Rack is fantastic! It is the best carrier I have ever owned. Durable, Water Tight and locks securely to the overhead racks on my truck. I would recommend etrailer.com and the Rhino Rack to anyone.

As I needed something quickly and there are all sorts of supply chain issues with manufacturers, Teresa, the sales person at etrailer, did an excellent job on the phone helping me go through the inventory to find something that was both the right fit and would be available relatively soon. I very much appreciated having a capable person (as opposed to useless bots) to communicate with over the phone. It arrived in good condition and especially considering that it's the lower-priced spread (as opposed to Thule) it fits properly and is easy for one person to maneuver. I've bought a number of items from etrailer over the years and appreciate the high level of service.

We've used for two snowboarding trips. Selling point for me was access from either side. This is a must-have feature because trying to get something from the far side on a roof-mounted container is near impossible unless you're a pro basketball player. We were able to store three snowboards with bindings, snowboard boots, winter clothes, boot dryer, and other items in the carrier without any problems. This definitely made our 12-hr (one-way) snowboarding trips more enjoyable with the freed-up space in the vehicle.

Trying to figure out where everything is going to fit and still have room for all of the family or friends on your next excursion? What about items purchased or found while on your trip? This cargo carrier has been one of best accessories we have ever purchased for our Toyota Rav4. It accommodated suit cases, clothing, shoes and other items you would take on a journey. Going swimming with the kids, you now have a place for all things wet. Also, installation and removal are a breeze. When it comes to traveling, the Rhino Cargo Carrier will be a fixture on our rig.

It's a decent size but the latch mechanism is made of plastic and doesn't lock into position well, especially considering we've only used it a few times. Etrailer.com is great, it's the product itself that gets 2 stars.

I received this cargo box yesterday and it will easily store 2 large suitcases, a bag of dog food and other items for our long trips. The attachment clamps makes it easy to install and remove from the cross bars on the car.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with the product. It has surpassed my expectations. Allowing me the freedom to free up much needed space in my wife 2009 RAV4. We have driven to Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Georgia for family vacations. My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to lock and secure when the container is filled with gear/clothing. Great product for the price, extremely satisfied!!!

This has worked great on our 2019 RAV4. It holds a lot, been water-tight through all kinds of weather. The two-sided opening is extremely convenient when dealing with getting odd-shaped items in and out. The only down side is the hit on our gas mileage, but that's to be expected with anything you add to the roof. We definitely recommend!

the product came quickly and boxed up on a pallet. Simple to use and simple to install on the car. Less than 10 minutes to take about of box and put on top of Toyota Highlander and tighten down. fits perfect, easy to open and close. have not used it on out trip yet, so i will updated my review when i do.

Box was easy to mount and I like the attachment cams. It's flimsier than I expected but I'm not shocked. I'm docking two stars for a misleading description. First, the description states the box has 6 internal anchor points but my box only has 4 - 2 in the front and 2 in the rear. Second, my box came with the two sides keyed differently. I can't think of a good reason to do this so I'm chalking it up to poor quality control. I kind of wish I had just spent more on a nicer brand.

After using this carrier on multiple road trips and vacations over the last two years it still functions flawlessly. Its simple to install and remove by one competent adult although having two people is easier just due to its size. When not in use I store it in my garage which should keep it in good shape for many more years to come.
