Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer dot com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side view mirror on your 2015 through 2018 Toyota Yares SE. This is modeled after your Toyota's original look and fit so you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It's going to look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory.

So you're not going to have to worry about looking like you've pieced together parts from the junkyard or anything like that. It's going to have a very integrated look and just make it look like your vehicle is factory fresh. This does have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It also has the heated mirror glass to help clear that frost and ice and reduce fogging on those chilly mornings and days.Now keep in mind both the power remote capability and that heated mirror glass will only work if your vehicle is already capable of doing those things. So if your original mirror could do it, this mirror will allow you to do the same.

It's just if you don't already have those capabilities, this mirror will not add those functionalities to your vehicle. This is an OE grade product so it's going to have the same quality materials as your original mirror. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so you're going to get a nice, clear image. It is a flat lens, like most of your driver's side mirrors, so that you can see the true representation of the objects behind you. So if you're changing lanes or turning, whatever the case may be, you'll be sure to know what is back there.It does have the breakaway design so if you we're to run into a pole or the side of your garage or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that force to make sure that it's minimizing the damage done to the housing or the mirror itself.

The cover here can be painted to match your vehicle. So it would look even more integrated, but it is a nice durable plastic. So it looks nice as it is. If your other mirror is already painted to match your vehicle, you'd probably want to paint that so that they would coordinate, but otherwise I think it's going to look fine on its own. It is a very durable plastic, but has that nice black finish to it already.

As far as the installation is going to be extremely simple.We've got the same footprint as your original mirror so basically all you have to do is take that old one off, put this one in its place, plug this in to the port where the original plugged into for your power remote capability and heated mirror glass, and you're ready to go. It's basically just that simple. You're not going to have to do any drilling or anything like that. It's all going to work just the way your original did. Now for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for you, this is a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you get into your owner's manual and you see that number, you can rest assured that this is going to be the mirror that you need. And this is just the driver's side mirror. This does come with a 90 day warranty from K-Source. So it's nice to know that they stand behind their products. You do want to make sure that it is the model that you need for your vehicle. There are several different makes and models within your vehicle range. So make sure that this is the one you need, but as long as it is, I think it's going to be a great option for you.
