It does use OE grade flat glass with first surface plating to reflect clear images.Front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome, and it is a flat lens, so it reflects true representation of the object's size in the mirror. It has a breakaway design, so the mirror will fold when it's struck to prevent any breakage. You can see it's in a nice durable plastic housing that protects your black finish, and it is an easy, no-drill installation.
