Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. This side mirror is going to be a direct replacement for the year, makes, and models that you see on the screen there. And as you can see, that is a pretty lengthy the list. So this is going to fit quite a wide range of vehicles.
For those of you who do like the specifics, this is going to be a direct replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So just to give you an extra little piece of mind that this will work with your vehicle, you can look for that number to make sure that this is going to fit, but this is modeled after your manufacturer's original look and fit.So you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It's going to look like it came with your mirror, right, or came with your vehicle right from the factory. You're not going to have to worry about having a junkyard looking vehicle like everything was pieced together. It's going to all look very integrated and seamless, so very nice aesthetic functionality there.
This does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's got the heated mirror glass so you can clear off the frost, ice, and reduce fogging on those chilly mornings. It's got the red LED turn arrow here so that when we turn on our turn signal that is going to light up and those are the high intensity inaudible 00:01:33 LED, so it's going to be brighter than your standard turn signals. So all the drivers around us are going to be able to see that we're intending to turn or change lanes or what have you.It does have the power fold capability. So in addition to folding in when it's struck, if you run into a pole or a garage door or something like that, it'll fold in to try and minimize the damage to the unit, absorb some of that shock, but it's also going to allow you to control that with controls inside your vehicle.
So you can fold in the mirrors if you're trying to get into a tight space or something along those lines. That way you don't have to worry about fitting them on any of those poles or anything like that. It's also got the puddle lamp up here on the bottom to illuminate the area under our mirror. So as we're getting out of our vehicle, we can make sure that we're not stepping into any puddles and ruining our nice shoes. It does have the memory function capabilities, so it's going to allow your car's computer to recognize the preset mirror position for the drivers.
So when you get in, it will adjust. So just one less thing that you have to worry about and it'll do it automatically.Now keep in mind, all of those features, the power remote capability, the heated glass, the power folding, the memory function, LED turn signal, puddle lamp, all of that is only going to function if your vehicle already has those capabilities. So if your original mirror could those things, the mirror will allow you to do that. If your original mirror did not have those functionalities, this is not going to add those capabilities to your vehicle. It will only work if your vehicle is already capable of it on its own. One thing that this mirror will not support is the auto-dimming function, so you might lose just a little bit of functionality there from your original, but overall, just about all of the same components as the original.It is made of an OE grade housing and lens, so it's going to be the same quality materials as your original. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, so we're going to get a nice clear image of everything that's coming up behind us. We've got a convex lens like most of our passenger side mirrors, so it's going to give us a wide angle view to reduce blind spots. The housing is a durable plastic housing with that slight textured black finish. You can see this cover on the back here can be painted, if you want to match your vehicle even more seamlessly. You can paint that to whatever color your original was very easy to do a nice smooth finish there. So will look nice and it's going to last awhile. It's very durable, not going to have to worry about it.As far as the installation, should be extremely simple. You can see we've got the same footprint as our original and our plugs are going to plug in just like original did, so it's really going to be as simple as taking your old one off, putting this one in it's place, and you're ready to go. Now this is just the passenger side mirror if you're needing the driver's side as well, we also have that available here at etrailer.com. You can find it using the part number that you see on the screen there.This does come with a 90 day warranty from K-Source, so it's nice to know they stand behind their product. If you have any problems, you can work with them to make sure that all that is resolved. Overall, I think this is a great mirror. If this where one of the vehicles that I own, I would definitely go with this mirror, high quality. A lot of those functions as the original. I don't think you're going to have any problems with it. Transaction with you was pleasant. However,the after-market product is inferior to the dealer's, in that the HEATING ELEMENT does NOT cover the entire surface of the mirror & takes much longer to work.
The passenger side mirror for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra proved a no-sweat installation and all the electrics worked at a quarter the cost of a factory replacement mirror.

Timely arrival, installation is not easy but doable, with basic skills and minimal tools it can be done in a few hours. [online video] helps. Fit great, worked as it should and this guy is happy. Quality is impressive and seems well built; time will tell. Customer service is excellent, emailed them with questions, next day response, convinced me this is a good quality company and wants to keep my business.
Works great had it installed at the dealership. Would not accept my chrome piece that snaps into the back of the mirror, (different tab locations from OEM) but I needed the mirror more than the chrome. Would highly recommend for replacement.

When i ordered the driver side mirror, i was disappointed to find that it did not match my original toyota mirror. Since i only needed to replace one mirror, having to order a passenger side mirror to replace a perfectly good mirror was not ideal. My toyota factory mirror covers do not fit your mirror and your mirror is bigger and is a different shape.
Arrived on time, appears to be a perfect match. Will follow up if any post-install problems. Customer service on the transaction was excellent.
I bought this mirror online a while ago for my Santa Fe sport AWD 2017, when I was buying that time I thought it will have all functions in a same way my old side mirror performing that time. But my BSD system in Car stopped working since the first day of install as this new mirror wont support that Blind Spot detection or this mirror only for heat and signal. Overall, I would like to recommend this mirror.
....although the delivery of the item I ordered was longer than originally committed to by etrailer, when the item finally arrived, the product was as described and a factory replacement for the vehicle.

etrailer got us a wonderful looking replacement mirror, the electric remote and lights work like new, and the customer service was over-the-top. The dealer wanted $450+ to replace a side mirror on a 2010 Kia, but etrailer's $70 replacement is as good as new, easy to install, and brought my daughter's car back to life. Mirrors for 03 Silverado. Trailer mirrors before removal and the new mirrors I purchased. Power with manual fold, heated and signal in mirror. Easy change and exact fit.
Appears well constructed and perfect fit. Wire harness was perfect. 100% replication of functions. Mirror to door seal may leak over time. Factory seal was thicker, and could not re-use due to minor difference in mirror construction. Also, factory wire harness had a protective snap-in shroud and a few more wires, but does not appear to matter. I would recommend. My truck is 2007 Silverado Classic.
The Mirror arrived, Have not yet had it put on, but all looks good so far.
