Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source Replacement Side View Mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 1990 through 1997 Ford Aerostar. This is modeled after your Aerostar's original look and fit so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Aerostar right from the factory, so you don't have to worry about that piece together from the junkyard sort of look. And because this does have the fit modeled after the original mirror, it is going to be very easy to get installed.

You're not gonna have to drill any new holes or anything like that. It's got the same footprint and mounting points. So basically just take the old mirror off, put this one in its place and you're ready to go. It also has the mirror plug that's going to plug into your existing electrical wiring and that's going to enable the power remote capability. So you can use the factory power controls inside your vehicle to adjust that mirror face position.

Keep in mind, that's only gonna work if your vehicle already has that function. It's not gonna add that functionality to a vehicle that doesn't. But this is going to have OE grade quality material so it's gonna hold up well for you. That front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's gonna give you a nice, clear image. And it is a flat lens like most driver's side mirrors.

So it's going to give you a true representation of the object size behind you. So if you're changing lanes or backing up, you'll be able to tell what's there behind you. And this does have a breakaway design. So if you we're to run into a parking post or the side of your garage or something like that, the mirror's gonna fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that impact, reduce the chance of damaging it. But it does have nice durable plastic housing.

You can see it does have this black finish here so it's gonna look nice and hold up well for you. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your application, this is gonna replace the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you take off your original mirror, if you see that number anywhere, you can trust, this is gonna be exactly what you need.
