Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source Replacement Side View Mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver side factory mirror on your 1998 through 2001 Dodge Van. This is modeled after your Dodge's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. It should look like it came with your Dodge van right from the factory, so you're not gonna have to worry about that piece together from the junkyard sort of look.

And because it is modeled after that original look and fit it is gonna be very easy to get mounted in place. You're not gonna have to drill any new holes or anything like that. So basically just take off your original mirror put this one in its place and it'll be ready to go. It's got the same plugin, so it will attach to your vehicle's existing electrical wiring and that's going to give you the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. And now keep in mind, that's only gonna work if your vehicle already has that function.

It's not going to add that function to a vehicle that doesn't have it already but it is going to have that same OE grade kind of quality materials. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's gonna give you a nice clear image and it is a flat lens, so it's going to reproduce the size of the object behind you. So you can see if a vehicle's coming up before you change lanes or as your backing up, make sure that you're gonna be staying away from anything that could cause damage. This does have the breakaway design so it's gonna fold in on itself. If you we're to run into a parking pole or post or the side of your garage or something like that it's gonna fold in to help absorb some of that impact and reduce the chance of breakage.

It is constructed of a durable plastic housing with this black finish and so it will hold up well for you for a long time to come. And again, should integrate really well with your Dodge Van to make everything look pretty seamless and put together for you. So if you need a little extra reassurance that this is gonna work for you this is going to be a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So if you're going through your owner's manual or when you take the original mirror off if you see that number anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need.
