Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this K Source driver's side replacement manual side view mirror. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1997 to 2000 Dodge Dakota trucks and 1998 Dodge Durango vehicles. Now on a custom fit part like this I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now this side view mirror is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your vehicle. You can see it is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It is a manual mirror face adjustment so you do need to use your hands to adjust the mirror. And it does use an OE grade flat glass with first-surface plating to reflect clear images.The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome and it is a flat lens so it reflects true representation of the object size in the mirror. You can see it's in a nice durable plastic housing with a nice texture black finish and it is an easy no-drill installation.
Gives you the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. A few specs on this. This will replace the original equipment part number of 55154847AB and it is for a quantity of one driver's side mirror. But that should do it for the review on this K Source driver's side replacement manual side view mirror.

Excellent Packaging, Great fit on to a 2003 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. The OEM mirrors had no ability to collapse for fitting into narrow spaces or while parked, these bring that necessity to the truck along with almost 1/3 larger height (more mirror!). Total width seems to be the same from the OEM. One BIG note, these mirrors do not offer use of the interior manual adjustment arm as the OEMs do; so you'll have to adjust the mirror by physically manipulating the mirror surface. Still these are a good deal and function well once installed and adjusted. GOod luck finding a better option for a Gen 1 Tacoma!

The mirror is not an exact replacement. The mirror support is made of thinner aluminum, overall quality not ad good as the original. The overall size is smaller, so the mirror sits lower and closer than the original on my 1993 F150. However, the mounting bracket spacing is correct, so I didn’t have to drill holes in the truck door.

This is, after a year, still a great purchase. Its been through some heavy abuse in the field, and has held up like the factory original mirror. There is no distortion in the glass either, which the factory mirror had, to a degree.

I have previously bought these mirrors to replace my stock mirrors, only thing I noticed was only one hole lined up and the other had to be drilled out. And the hardware to bolt on I believe should be more chrome and a different style but otherwise that the mirrors are perfect and look amazing on the truck.

Quality of mirror glass is very nice with no distortion. Chrome has held up very well. The clamp holding the mirror arm has not moved at all, yet easily adjustable. My truck does not sit out and is kept clean so there is that. Very pleased, again thank you.
