Today we're going to take a look at the K Source Electric Heated Driver Side Replacement Side Mirror. This is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 1998 to 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 and 2500 trucks with the heated power mirror. This side view mirror is a direct replacement for your driver side factory mirror on your vehicle. It is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It does offer the power remote capability so you can adjust your mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.
This one also offers the heated mirror glass which will clear any frost or ice and helps reduce fogging. The mirror on this is an OE grade flat glass with first surface plating to help reflect clear images. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, and because it's a driver's side mirror it is a flat lens which will reflect the true representation of the object's size in the mirror. This is a break away design so the mirror will fold when it's struck to help prevent breakage. It's made of a durable plastic housing with a nice black finish. If you notice on the mounting it is an easy no-drill installation.
It has the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror, even comes with three nuts to help when you install it to use for installation. If you notice the mirror will plug into your existing electrical wiring. The specs on this again, it's for one driver's side mirror. This is designed to replace the original equipment part number of 55076489AC. One last note on this mirror, now the power remote capability and the heated glass of this mirror will work only if your vehicle already has those functions.

The product was as advertised but I was more impressed with the service from etrailer.com. The supplier was a bit slow but the folks at etrailer.com kept me in the loop the entire way. It was very much appreciated as my wife was very anxious about not having the side mirror. The mirror fit and worked on the first try. Just one word of caution, there are no installation instructions with the mirror so you need to be comfortable taking a door panel off and doing the install. Kudos to Megan and the other staff that were so helpful!
My only issue is that I asked for the passenger side view mirror, for my 2012 Subaru Forrester. My vehicle, the side view mirrors also have lights on both, so oncoming drivers can get an additional signal, letting them know which way I am turning. The mirror sent does not have that. So now One mirror has it, and the other side does not. Great

Approximately a 25 minute installation. Great product. Arrived in less than 5 days after ordering. Pretty much a plug and play application. I need to get another push plug, because the ears on one of the inner door mounts broke, while removing it. That stuff happens. Great purchase experience. Highly recommend.
