Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your 1987 through 1994 Dodge Dakota. This is modeled after your Dakota's original look and fit so you're really not going to be able to tell that it is a replacement mirror. It's going to look like it came with your Dakota, right from the factory.

So you don't have to worry about having that pieced together from the junkyard parts, kind of look going. It's going to integrate well with your Dakota, look like it came right from the factory.It does have the manual mirror face adjustment capabilities. So you can get that set up to whatever angle you need. This is an OE grade product. So it's going to have the same high quality materials as your original.

The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome to give you a nice, clear reflection. It does have the convex lens, like most of your passenger side mirrors do to help give you that wide angle view and reduce those blind spots.It's also going to have the breakaway design so that the mirror will fold in if you run into something, try and help absorb some of that shock to prevent as much damage to the mirror as possible. But it is a very durable black plastic construction, the housing here, and it does have the chrome finish on the back of the mirror there, as you can see. So it's going to be very stylish, going to blend in well with the rest of your Dakota.As far as the installation, it's going to be extremely simple. You can see on the bottom here, it's got the same footprint and mounting points as your original mirror.

So really all you're going to have to do is take the old mirror off, put this one in its place, and you're ready to go. Very simple. You're not going to have to drill new holes or worry about gluing or anything like that. It's going to fit right where the old one fit so everything's going to be very simple there.For those of you who need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to be the part that's going to work for you. This is a replacement for the original equipment numbers that you see on the screen there.
