Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side-view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 1987 through 1995 Jeep YJ as well as your 1987 through 2016 Jeep Wrangler and your 1997 through 2006 Jeep TJ all with either the full steel doors or the original equipment half doors. This is modeled after the Jeep's original look and fit. So you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror.
It should look like it came with your Jeep right from the factory. So you don't have to worry about that piece together from the junkyard look. It should be all integrated together, look really nice and as a complete unit.Just like your original mirror, this does have the manual mirror face adjustment so you can get the right angle to make sure that you can see all the oncoming traffic before you change lanes, or what's coming up behind you if you're backing up to make sure that you have the right angle there. This is made of inaudible 00:01:08 grade quality components. So it's going to be the same quality as the original mirror.
The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so it's going to give you a nice, clear image to see what's coming up behind you. It also has a flat lens to give you a true representation of the object size behind you.Again, just like the original, it's got the breakaway design. So if you we're to run into the side of your garage door or side of your garage or a parking post or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that impact and reduce the damage done to the mirror housing. But the mirror housing is a nice durable plastic. So it's not going to rust or corrode, anything like that.
Does have a black finish to it. So it should look really nice. And as far as getting it installed, it's going to be very easy. It's got the same footprint as your original mirror.So you're not going to have to do any drilling or anything like that. Basically just unscrew the original, screw this one in its place and you're ready to go.
So very easy to do. For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for your vehicle, the original equipment number that this will replace you can see on the screen there. So if you're looking through your owner's manual or when you take the original mirror off, if you see that number, you can trust that this is going to work for you.Now keep in mind this is just the driver's side mirror. If you also need the passenger side mirror, we also have that available here at etrailer.com. You can find it using the part number on the screen there. This does come with a 90-day warranty. So if you we're to have any problems within those first 90 days, you could give us a call. We'd be happy to work with you. I think it's going to do a good job mounting on your Jeep, allowing you to see what's behind you as you go down the road. This replacement mirror fit like a glove. It looks just like the original mirror that came with my 2500. Etrailer always have good quality items and I always go to them first before I buy anything to see if they carry it.
Really sturdy and heavy duty, had to move my tire for install but not relocate it on my 96 f250. Took me a little over an hour, had pre existing holes so I only had to drill two of them out.
I have previously bought these mirrors to replace my stock mirrors, only thing I noticed was only one hole lined up and the other had to be drilled out. And the hardware to bolt on I believe should be more chrome and a different style but otherwise that the mirrors are perfect and look amazing on the truck.

The mirror is not an exact replacement. The mirror support is made of thinner aluminum, overall quality not ad good as the original. The overall size is smaller, so the mirror sits lower and closer than the original on my 1993 F150. However, the mounting bracket spacing is correct, so I didn’t have to drill holes in the truck door.
Second time I have made a purchase from etrailer I bought a headache rack which has been great, recently had a side mirror broken so I had bought two to replace them and some steps for my truck very fast shipping even giving the situation of the covid-19. All in all just a top-notch experience, great products great service great communication I don't have a single complain
Excellent Packaging, Great fit on to a 2003 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. The OEM mirrors had no ability to collapse for fitting into narrow spaces or while parked, these bring that necessity to the truck along with almost 1/3 larger height (more mirror!). Total width seems to be the same from the OEM. One BIG note, these mirrors do not offer use of the interior manual adjustment arm as the OEMs do; so you'll have to adjust the mirror by physically manipulating the mirror surface. Still these are a good deal and function well once installed and adjusted. GOod luck finding a better option for a Gen 1 Tacoma!
