Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the replacement side mirror for the 2014 through 2016, Kia Forte5 hatchback, and the 2014 through 2016 Kia Forte sedan.Now, this is going to have the power functions, including the heated glass, remote control from inside your vehicles, so you can just use a little knob to adjust the angle of your mirror. It also has the remote breakaway design, so we can fold this in using the powered function, and also it helps to fold away if it happens to get struck. So, it'll just fold in, rather than actually breaking off, and will also have our turn signal built into the light, and a puddle lamp, so it has all of those functions.Now, if your vehicle didn't have those power functions to begin with, the remote capability, heated glass turn signal, puddle lamp, power folding, this is not going to give you an upgrade. This is only going to work if you already had those functions in your vehicle, since you'll have to have that wiring already installed for this to work. So, just keep that in mind there, that this is going to be for those vehicles.

Now, that being said, our wiring just plugs right into our factory harness, so there's no cutting or splicing required with this. It's just going to plug right in, and you'll be good to go. You'll just replace your hardware into the weld nuts there, to get everything installed. Have this little grommet here to provide a little bit extra protection between our vehicle and our mirror. Also helps to provide a little road dampening, or road noise dampening as well, so should be pretty much exactly like your old mirror.

Should look like it just came from the factory, so there really should be no change there.Really easy to install. Again, no drilling or anything required. Durable ABS plastic construction, and this can be color painted . Excuse me. It can be colored painted to match the color of your original mirror.

If you want to do that, you'll just want to make sure that you tape it up really well, so you don't get any over-spray on your mirror face, or the rest of the housing.Now, if you need the passenger's side, this is designed for the driver's side. We also have that available here at etrailer.com. That part number is going to be KS75561, and it's going to have all those same functions as this mirror as well. So, should get you back out on the road, and seeing what's going on behind you. This does have that flat glass on our driver's side, so we can have a true representation of what's going on behind us.
