Today, we're going to take a look at the CIPA Replacement Side Mirror. Now, this is going to be for the driver's side of the following vehicles. It's going to work for the 1988 through 2000 Chevrolet and GMC C/K-Series Pickup, the 1999 through 2002 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the 1992 through 1999 Chevrolet and GMC Suburban, as well as the 1992 through 1994 Chevrolet Blazer, the '95 through '99 Chevy Tahoe, the 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Limited or Z71, the 1992 through 2000 GMC Yukon, and the 1999 through 2000 Cadillac Escalade.The nice thing about this replacement mirror is that it's going to be a very easy install. It's just going to bolt right into the existing mounting holes from your old mirror. You just take the old one off, line up your new mirror with those mounting positions. It comes with new nuts, so you get that installed, as well as a rubber plate to go in place.

It provides a little extra cushion from vibration and road noise. You just want to feed your wiring through that center hole. It's a snug fit, but it does fit inside there. Then line that up, line up the holes, and then mount it all in place.Now we've got a wiring harness. That's going to be your connection for all your powered functions, so the power adjustment will be through here.

The nice thing about that is that there's no wires to splice. Just plugs right into the existing wiring, so you don't have to worry about any damage to your factory wiring. It plugs in and is ready to go.It also has a breakaway design, just like our original mirror. So you can fold this in whenever we're in close quarters and prevent it from getting broken.Now the glass itself has an OE-grade, flat glass with that first surface plating. That's going to give us a nice, sharp, undistorted image.

So we'll have a true representation of what's behind us. We'll be able to see, and make any turns, or change lanes when we need to.The housing is made of a durable ABS plastic with a black finish. You could paint this to match if you wanted to. But you might run the risk of a little paint transfer getting onto the mirror itself, since this mirror housing doesn't pop off. There's nothing to really take out of place.Now with the power function, this isn't going to upgrade your vehicle.

So if you don't already have the remote power function, if you don't have a control inside your vehicle, this isn't going to upgrade your mirror. If you just have a manual one, you can't really utilize these powered functions without that existing power.All in all, it's going to be a really easy way to replace our damaged or broken mirror on our vehicle.
