Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CIPA replacement passenger side manual side view mirror. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1989 to 1995 Toyota pickups. And on a custom fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide put in your year model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this is a side view mirror.
It is a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror that's on your vehicle. And you can see it is designed to match the manufacturer spec for a nice custom look and fit. It does use the OE grade flat glass with first surface plating reflects any sharp undistorted images. Basically the front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome and the flat mirror provides a nice true representation of the size and distance of the reflected objects. And the objects are actually as close as they appear to be.
This is a breakaway design which means the mirror will fold in and out when it's struck to prevent any breakage and to adjust the mirror it is a manual mirror face adjustment so you just use your hand to adjust the mirror to where you need it. It is all in a nice durable ABS plastic housing with a nice chrome finish to it and it is a very easy installation. Basically right here, this part here, we'll bolt to your existing mounting holes using your existing hardware. And then once it's bolted on, actually you'll use this gasket that would install in there first and then you'd bolt it to your vehicle. And then once it's tightened down and bolted on then you'll take this cover that would snap into place just like that and give you a nice finish look on your vehicle.
This is for a quantity of one passenger side mirror and this does fit or replace the original equipment part number of 8 7 9 1 0 8 9 1 4 0. But that should do it for the review on this CIPA replacement passenger side manual side view mirror.

This mirror fit my truck fine, and was easy to install. I was disappointed to find that the mirror vibrates when traveling down the road, making it harder to use, vs. the OEM Mirror, which did not vibrate.
Quick shipment, replacement mirror exactly as described. Fit my truck perfectly and quickly replaced original broken part. Not as heavy-duty as my original 89 Toyota pick-up mirror but does the job well.
I certainly didn't expect the mirrors to be made of CHEAP plastic, I knew they were made of plastic but they are extremely flimsy When they say break away they me BREAK AWAY. I can tell if I tried to adjust these more than a couple of times they certainly would break away.
Mirror is replicated from factory mirror, which is what I wanted. The plastic seems not to be the same quality/density as factory, but is also a fraction of the cost and isnt noticeable after installed. The only thing I dont really like is that the convex property of the glass is odd. Its as if the 'lens' is within the border of the mirror, rather than the entire mirror being convex from edge to edge. So there's a bit of a distortion around the edge of the view. But it works fine. Would buy it again.
The mirror is good quality and I am happy with the purchase.
I installed it on a recently purchased 1996 Nissan pickup.
Warning - the mirror housing is black which does not match my original mirror which is silver. I don't mind at all but some customers might want to be careful so that their mirrors match.
I have enjoyed shopping with etrailer and will continue to do so.
