Crosswinds, uneven pavement, and passing semis can nudge your rig off line. The tempered steel spring in the Reflex Steering Stabilizer constantly works to bring steering back to center. Whether the wheel gets pulled one way or pushed the other, the spring stretches or compresses and then returns to its normal position to keep the vehicle straight and stable. That means less wandering and quicker recovery from sudden steering jolts.
Mounted between the steering mechanism and the chassis, this stabilizer ties key components together to cut down on loose, vague steering feel. The firm link between the tie rod and frame makes every input more precise while keeping the wheel steady when the road surface changes. It’s a simple way to get more control and confidence behind the wheel.
When you’re constantly correcting for pull or drift, it wears you out fast. The Reflex setup automatically returns to center after turns or bumps, taking over the small corrections that usually demand attention. You stay more relaxed, especially on long drives or in gusty conditions, because the stabilizer keeps alignment steady and steering effort light.
Installation takes about an hour and doesn’t require drilling or welding. The kit comes complete with the stabilizer, custom mounting brackets, and all necessary hardware, so you can bolt it up and get back on the road with a firmer, more predictable steering feel.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a looks at Roadmaster's reflex steering stabilizer with mounting brackets for class A motor homes. You'll want to verify in our fit guide which part number fits your inaudible 00:00:10.Now we're taking a drive without our steering stabilizer installed so we can compare the differences. Right now you can see there, when I hit bumps, you can see the wheel jerk. Once we get our stabilizer installed, that will help minimize those jerks in the steering wheel. What this means for you, is you're going to have more control over your vehicle, as well as it's going to reduce fatigue when driving down the road, because you're not going to have to fight to hold it straight like you we're before.As we head into our test course here, you're going to notice as we go over the various terrains, car's steering wheel's going to react. We're going to start with something that will simulate uneven pavement.
You can really see here how it jerks the wheel. Now you have to fight it to keep it straight. Next, we're going to be going over something that's going to simulate potholes or speed bumps. You can see how it still jerks the wheel, but not as bad as our uneven pavement did. Another think you'll notice is that when you're turning, on some of them back country roads, your steering wheel will return to center, but we'll see how much more our stabilizer's going to make a difference in bringing our vehicle straight for us.
As of right now, it continues to turn left and is not straightening out.Once we get our steering stabilizer installed, we'll show you the difference. You can already tell when we go over our bumps, our steering wheel doesn't move nearly as much as it used to. It's much easier to maintain control. We come around our turns, you see we let go of the wheel and it immediately bring our steering wheel back to center. Unlike before, where our wheel kept at an angle and our RV just went right around in a circle all by itself.
Here we can let go and watch it return.Now, as you can see when we're turning, you'll see our spring expand and contract. It pulls our steering back to center. You can see here as we go over bumps, the dampener bringing our steering back to center right away. What this really means for you, is it's going to help reduce driver fatigue by keeping the steering wheel straight, returning to center, doing a lot of the work for you. It's going to give you an overall more stable ride by keeping that wheel straight.
You're going to feel safer and more confident going down the road.This is what our steering stabilizer's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to mount between your tie rod and your front axle. It's going to help keep your vehicle in a straight line going down the road. This will help reduce driver fatigue, because you won't have to fight that back and forth motion while going down the road. It will also help stabilize your vehicle, making for a safer trip. This works using the large spring installed on the shock. As it expands and contracts, it's going to want to return to its normal position. Since we have it installed with our wheels in a straight line, it's going to try to bring those wheels back to a straight line. The shock inside of it is going to help absorb those impacts in the road, so if you hit any potholes or uneven terrain, that's actually going to help dampen it, making so you don't have so much of a jarring motion up on the steering wheel inside the vehicle.The spring is made of a tempered steel, so it's going to be durable and last a long time. It has a rust resistant coating on it as well to help extend the life. This will help improve the safety of your motor home, especially on those long trips, because of high crosswinds that you may encounter in certain areas, uneven rough terrain, and in the even of a blowout it will help you maintain control so you can safely pull over. It comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed. There's no drilling required and it's a really easy quick install.Our customer William J. Had to say, "Our Winny Brave experienced violent front end oscillation at three different times; after driving over diagonal rail road tracks on two occasions and once again after a pothole I had the front end aligned and it needed it. The shop recommended the steering damper to remedy the oscillation problem. I drove the unit 36 miles without the addition of the damper and handling was improved, but it still drifted and changed directions with road surface changes. I have put another 36 miles on the unit since the damper addition and I can feel the change. The steering feels rock steady with no side to side drift or direction change, even some over some of our local rough roads. We are planning a trip that will take us back over the diagonal railroad tracks and I can't wait to see if the violent oscillation is gone for good. Initial indications are that the problem is cure."William J.'s right. I could tell a major difference just driving around on our test course here and the few moments we had with it. Compared to other suspension enhancements out there, such as sway bars and air bags, none of those are really going to achieve the same level of stability that this is on your steering when going over bumps. Improved the handling but was just barely able to fit it on my Chevy Express 4500 chassis with a little modification to the bracket.
It does do a good job. The only possible change that I would like to see is to the attachment at the tie rod end. It can be a challenge to torque the u bolts to spec.

If you have a Ford E350 or E450, but this. Your future RVing self will thank you. East to install and a real game changer when it comes to driving. It takes attention to detail to get it centered but it is not difficult to get it done. No more wandering from lane to lane and no white knuckles when driving in the wind or meeting wind jamming semi truck.
The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer has made a huge improvement in how our 22 E 450 coach drives. We live in South Central Kansas and wind is often a big problem . The Relex has been a great investment .

These should be standard equipment on every motorhome sold - no exceptions.
Our Ford E350 got blown all over the Interstate on trips. It was so dangerous at times. At first I installed Bilstein shocks and though they helped a little, installing the front and rear anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer made all the difference in the world. I changed them all at the same time so I don't know which one helped the most. These are certainly quality products and are pretty easy to install.
It took me about an hour to install the RM stabilizer and was surprised that no adjustment was needed after the test drive. I had to call back e Trailer to get torgue specs since it was not included in the package. Overall a great investment my van drives a lot better particularly on the freeway.
As of right now it gives a tighter feel to the steering. I had it put on by a local Rv dealer on 1/2026 for the up coming camping season. I have a Coachmen 29FW 2024
What awesome product I had it installed at an alignment shop took about 45 minutes, took it out on the highway and it did a better job then I ever could ask for. I now feel in control of my A Class Coach 100 percent better driving No more White knuckles it’s a joy to drive. Why Ford didn’t put a product like this on from the factory is beyond me. Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.
First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.
Working great has made driving RV more pleasant, used to be very difficult to drive RV especially In windy conditions , my husband installed and is very pleased with purchase
I love the stabilizer. Just finished a trip across country and back. The stabilizer made the trip much easier. Hid a blow out and the stabilizer kept me in a straight line. Now I wouldn't be without it.
It was an easy install. It took a little adjustment to get it working as it should but I was told that in the installation directions. It improved my control some, but not as much as I hoped.
All is good except the bushings on the tie rod end of the damper were too thick or the treaded shaft was too short and would not let the nut start. I cut down some rubber shock bushing and it works good.
The product was delivered sooner than expected and was installed in about 1 hour.
All the parts fit and it preformed great on a test drive
I am very happy with the Roadmaster steering Stabilizer and how it made my steering and control much better
Product failed and leaked Hydraulic fluid after only 5 or 6 less than 10 mile trips. Etrailer.com connected me with the manufacturer who sent me a new shock in 2 days. Great service from both etrailer.com and Roadmaster. Only driven once so far so waiting to see how replacement works.

Vehicle: 2001 Roadtrek P-200 built on a 2000 Chevy Express 3500, 35k miles. Installation was easy except I had to widen part of the elongated hole a little with a round file so that the bolt would fit. Very happy with the results, steering liked to wander a lot and it made for a lot of fatigue while driving. Now much better, I figure at least a 85% improvement.
Stabilizer came as scheduled and installed easily within an hour on my 2000 chev express van 3500 Roadtrek Class B. Short test drive and seems better, Still felt a little sway ,will give it a good test next week. so far so good! Good product!

This is the second one of these I've ordered over the years to solve the Chevy Express Death Wobble....don't drive you're 2500-3500 Chevy Express without one of these. Install=Safe Driving!

There are no Roadmaster steering stabilizers listed that fit on my 1990 Roadtrek Versatile 190 on a Dodge B 250 (a Class B Motor Home), but I was determined to find one to fit my old Dodge Roadtrek. After several hours of looking at pictures of other Roadmaster steering stabilizers, the vehicles for which they are intended and the size and number of coils on the springs shown in pictures of the stabilizes I was able to determine with certainty that the RM-RBK15-RSSC would work. A picture of a Ford E250 shows that it has a frame and steering component alignment that is very similar to my 1990 Dodge B250. The Ford motor home uses a RSSC stabilizer and RM-RBK15 mounting brackets. There are no drilling or other modifications necessary for the Roadmaster stabilizer to fit my 1990 Dodge perfectly. The only item that is not in this kit is a 7/16-13 X 5" machine bolt. I had previously installed on my vehicle a steering damper that came with this bolt . I used that bolt to attach the bracket of the Roadmaster to the Dodge frame (which came from the factory with a hole in the exact spot where the bracket needed to be attached. There are very few 1990 Dodge B250s left on the road but if you have one I can assure you that this steering stabilizer and bracket set will fit it. If your front suspension and steering is in good working order this stabilizer will make a big difference in the stability of the vehicle.
Box arrived, opened it and fitted within 30 min. No issues. Campa seems to drive great in short run around the block.

What a difference in handling. Even my wife could notice how steady my 24' class C handles. Prior to installing I would grip the wheel hard with two hands, it was very tiring. Now I don't sway all over the place while being passed by a semi. I took a shot and glad I did. Simple install.

Big difference, now I wouldnt ride without one. Just bought a New RV and added it.
I installed this on my 2003 Chevy Express 3500 Roadtrek Class B motorhome to help with steering wander. It improved the issue by about 75%. A noticeable improvement. The instructions were a little difficult to follow, but with some tech support help, I was able to remedy the issue by reversing the position of the small end bracket (see pic) that attaches to the steering center link. This is basically a shock absorber (dampener with spring) mounted horizontally on the steering Linkage. It worked well.

We used it for about 9 months and it made about an 80 improvement in loose steering and wander these old Roadtrek Chevy Express 3500 vans are prone to that. We have since sold the vehicle. It was easy to install. Save your installation instructions. If your front end needs mechanical work, and its not you thats doing it, the product usually has to be removed, and the person doing the work may not know hat to re install it and adjust it.

After a lot more driving, I found that the steering was still needing some additional help. I added a Roadmaster Active Suspension and that greatly improved the drive-ability.
