Features to know about

Choose the Heating Source That Fits Your Campsite

Some campsites include full electrical hookups, while others leave you relying more heavily on propane. This water heater gives you propane, electric, and hybrid heating modes, so you can use the available power source or combine both for stronger recovery when hot water demand increases. Propane heating provides 12,000 Btus, while the electric element runs on 120V AC power at 1,440 watts.

Set the Water Temperature for Comfort or Cleaning

Different tasks do not always need the same water temperature. Three preset options let you select 104F for milder everyday use, 122F for general washing and showering, or 140F when hotter stored water is preferred. The fixed settings make it easier to choose a consistent temperature without repeatedly fine-tuning the controls.

Replace Many Older 10- and 12-Gallon RV Units

Replacing an older water heater is easier when the new unit works with the existing wall opening. This model is designed for a minimum 16-1/2" x 16-1/2" opening and can replace many older 10-gallon and 12-gallon Suburban, Atwood, and Dometic water heaters. A compatible exterior access door is required and sold separately.

Protect the Tank Without Routine Anode Replacement

Traditional tank water heaters often use a sacrificial anode rod that wears down and must be checked or replaced. This unit uses a powered titanium anode rod to help protect the tank from corrosion without the same routine replacement schedule. That means one less recurring maintenance item to manage between trips.

Support Cold-Weather Use and Easier Draining

Freezing conditions can damage a water heater when water remains inside exposed components. The upgraded anti-freeze system helps protect the unit as temperatures fall, while the built-in pressure relief valve drain provides a convenient point for pressure release and system draining. Proper winterization is still required when the RV is stored or exposed to extended freezing weather.

Start Propane Heating Automatically

Pulse continuous ignition starts the propane burner without requiring a standing pilot light. When propane mode is selected and heat is needed, the ignition system lights the burner automatically. This provides convenient operation from inside the RV while avoiding the need to manually light the heater outside.

Video Transcript for Review of Fogatti RV Water Heater - Standard Water Heater - FG54ZR

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this Fogatti hybrid shower RV water heater. Folks, if you're traveling with a larger family or simply just want more hot water available in your RV or camper, upgrading to a larger capacity like this one could make all the difference. So again, this is the Fogatti hybrid shower 10. It's a 10 gallon RV water heater and it's gonna give you the flexibility to run not just on propane but also electric or you can do hybrid mode and run both of those at the same time. That's gonna give you faster, hotter water all at once and then when you're appointing the short power you can just use electric or propane as needed.

Same thing when you're boon docked. Now again, this is a 12,000 BTU propane burner inside of here and a 1440 watt electric heating element. So again, these can work together in hybrid mode giving you faster water recovery especially if you've got multiple people showering. You're gonna need all that hot water quicker and maybe some people are doing dishes at the same time. Who knows Insulation's straightforward.

It's gonna need a 16 and a half by 16 and a half inch opening. That's exactly what the front of this measures and I got 21 inches deep overall from front to back. Now, this does also come with as you can kind of see over here on the side, I'll pull it up closer here a nice little wall remote or thermostat. And you got your on, off. You got the different modes, temperature, propane or power, and then you've got three preset temperatures.

You've got 104, 122, and 140 and basically you're gonna wanna pick those to match your needs. I strongly recommend you don't go over the 122 Fahrenheit for showering. 140 will burn you so just keep that in mind. 140's pretty much whenever you want super hot water. Maybe you're gonna be cleaning something inside or you wanna keep it hot because you know you're gonna go somewhere real quick and come back and that little bit of time it won't cool off as fast.

So, different options, just make sure you're following the instructions and staying safe. Now, one of the base advantages is a small water heater like this you can store hot water for long showers and back to back use without running out as quick and with this unit maintenance is pretty easy. Instead of a traditional sacrificial anode rod Fogatti uses a powered titanium anode rod and that's gonna protect that tank from corrosion without the need of routine replacement. And as you can see this tank is covered with a nice EPDME insulation, excuse me, and that's got four layers of that insulation and that's gonna help retain heat as well and keep everything nice and hot a lot longer. Now, this also does have built in features in the tank as far as protections against dry firing, overheating, excessive water pressure, and also freezing conditions. So, as you can see you've got your hot and cold water hookups back in the back marked. Those do have caps on 'em from the factory. They're not just there to protect the threads. When you take this off to install you may actually get some water that drips out of there. Don't be alarmed, they do test these at the factory to make sure they're working so that's why you may get some water. If you don't wanna do the installation yourself, no worries. You can use our install locator link below. Simply click on that, give us some information such as your zip code and we can pair you up with trusted etrailer installation locations around the nation. Now, closing up here I wanna come to the front and point out a few things. If you're not aware you got your pressure relief valve and of course this yellow cap here that is protecting the threads for your propane hookup. That's gonna come through there down to the connection and then the same thing with your electrical. They're all marked but they're gonna go out there as well down the side for connections. Well folks, that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this Fogatti hybrid shower RV water heater. I'm Steven, as always thanks for watching and have a great day.
