Built for full-time RVing, these extra-heavy-duty, crushproof sewer hoses resist scratches and punctures, so you can empty your holding tanks without springing a leak. 4-In-1 clear elbow adapter fits 4 types of sewer inlets.
Features:
Specs:
These sewer hoses come with everything you need to empty your holding tanks at a dump station, particularly one that you're parked far away from. The 2 separate hoses let you adjust the length based on your setup. Use 1 hose when you're close to the dump station or connect both together for twice the length. The sewer hoses are made of 24-mil-thick poly material for extra durability. The 90-degree elbow adapter prevents the hose it's attached to from bending too sharply, and because it's clear, it lets you see when the tank is empty too. The elbow adapter also makes it easy to connect to the dump station with its 4-in-1 fit capability.
Two hoses are included - a standard 10' drain hose and a 10' extension hose - to give you up to 20' of length when connected together. A typical 20' hose can be bulky and difficult to stow in your RV. Even worse, waste can get trapped between the coils of longer hoses, causing nasty odors. With 2 hoses, you get the best of both worlds. Use the standard 10' drain hose to reach the sewer inlets at most campgrounds. Connect the included extension hose to get a full 20' of length to reach inlets that are further away. And when you're done dumping your tanks, you can separate the 2 hoses for easy storage in your RV.
The included 4-in-1 elbow makes connecting the hose to the dump station inlet fast and easy. The adapter is designed to fit 4 sizes of dump station inlets. It easily slides into 3" diameter slip inlets, and it can be screwed into a 3", 3-1/2", or 4" diameter threaded inlet.
Also, the 90-degree design ensures that there isn't a sharp bend in the hose when you connect it to the dump station inlet, which makes for a longer lasting hose. And the clear plastic construction of the elbow makes it easy to see when the water moving through your system runs clear, signaling that your tanks are empty.
To hook up the adapter, slide or screw the elbow into the dump station sewer inlet, then connect the lug fitting on the end of the hose to the bayonet fitting on the adapter. It's that easy.
These RV hoses are made of 24-mil-thick poly material for extra durability when you're dumping your tanks. The material is strong enough to take a beating and also won't fade if it stays in the sun too long.
If the hoses are pressed or crushed, no problem. The durable poly material will spring back up so the hoses can retain their shape. And even though they're strong, the hoses are still flexible enough to bend and manuever, even if the temperature drops below freezing. Finally, the hoses' 100-mil beading protects the hose body from scrapes, punctures, and scratches, so you won't have to worry about springing a leak.
The swivel fittings on each end of these hoses rotate independently. This means that, when you're screwing them onto the connection points, the entire hose will still lay flat. So when you're dumping your tanks, waste can easily flow to the sewer inlet. No twisting, no binding, no problem.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Valterra Silverback 20 foot RV sewer hose kit and this sewer hose kit lets you drain your RV's black water and gray water tanks at a dump station and it provides you with all the components that you need to get the job done. So you're going to get two 10 foot long sewer hoses and you're going to get the 4 in 1 elbow adaptor, which makes it very easy to connect at the dump station. This is designed to fit a three inch slip and a three inch, three and a half inch, and four inch threaded sewer inlets. Also has the nice 90 degree elbow, which reduces the amount of stress that's placed on the hose by preventing that from bending sharply. And as you can see here it's a clear plastic so that's going to let you easily see when your tanks are empty. All the fittings on the hoses are swivel fittings. So you got the swivel lug fittings and the swivel bayonet fittings.
These rotate to ensure that your hoses always lay flat, which makes connecting much easier. The hoses are also very flexible. You can see how they stretch out so they compress and extend very easily. They're also designed to maintain their shape. So they're flexible and they easily maintain their shape, makes it a lot easier if you have go around an obstacle or if you have to go around a corner you're not fighting your hose wanting to conform back to its stowed position or back to its desired position.
So you can really bend these and flex them to position them as you need them for your particular situation, setup and application. So again, nice flexible design makes setup super duper easy. When it comes to getting it set up and installing them, they secure easily as well. So they have these twist on fittings, so twist on installation with the bayonet style fittings, super easy to get set up and to empty the tanks. So setup is easy. They are a nice durable construction.
Basically what you would do is you would connect one of your hoses to the standard 3 inch lug fitting on your RV's waste valve and then if you need the full 20 feet you can connect the 2 hoses together, lug to bayonet or bayonet to lug, and extend it out or if you don't need the full 20 feet, again each one can extend up to 10 feet so just choose whatever works best for your application and then connect the end of the hose to the elbow adaptor and then connect the elbow adaptor to the dump station and you can start emptying the tanks. The kit does feature internal seals on the hoses to prevent leakage at the connection points. And when we're talking about the construction of the Silverback, it's a very very durable hose so it's a lot stronger than a lot of the basic ones out there on the market, uses a heavy duty 24 mil. polypropylene construction. It's very strong and durable, built in UV protection. And one of my favorite features is that it has the 100 mil.
protective beading, which protects the hose from damage. So if this hose is set up and let's say it accidentally gets stepped on or it gets crushed or you drive over it, it's designed to spring back into shape after it's compressed without damaging. The diameter is a three inch diameter hose, industry standard. Each hose measures 10 feet long when fully extended and about 38 inches long when fully collapsed. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Silverback 20 foot RV sewer hose kit.
Good product, fair price and quick deli very!
I had purchased another product a few weeks ago, and it was so nice that when I needed a new part I came straight here! Excellent customer service, speedy shipping, and awesome products/selection. I highly recommend!
Great service. Have not used product yet, will be awhile. Checking to ensure it fits ok. Thank you. Cyndy
Easy online ordering. If I have questions you
There is staff to call for assistance. Hose is great so far
These are excellent hoses! I highly recommend spending the extra few dollars and get the best hose you can find, and these are it. I've had it for a year, used it at least (10) times, and it's still like new. It has been stepped on and bounces right back. It cleans up nicely and the expanding feature works like a charm.
i have not used yet but looks great
Works fine but will not fit in my bumper designed to carry it.
Haven't used hose..seems to be ok..
Good shipping got it fast
Thank you
I purchased this hose as a replacement and really like it. It compresses into a smaller "bundle" if you will, and makes it easier to store in our outside truck camper storage box. I like that the ends are permanently fused on the hose - no problem with the hose coming off the ends at inconvenient times. Hose is rugged and has held up well. I will definitely buy this product again when ours finally wears out. If ever. Highly recommend.
Looks good, but haven't had an opportunity to use.
It leaks at the fittings, like all RV hoses I have tried. One end came off creating a spill. Hose was not under stress, installed correctly and stored well. The Positive Shutoff Valve from the same order (different product) leaked from the first use. Stiff plastics, undersized poor o-rings and "locking " connections that turn, unlock when the water flow starts and causes blackwater spills.
Finically a good hose
I have used the SilverBack sewer hoses a few times so far and am very pleased with them. I especially like the way they stay compressed after being extended for use, which makes them much easier to store than previous hoses I have used.
I recently purchased these hoses and it was good timing as the campgrounds I went to this past month I needed the extra length to the gray water tank in the front of the trailer. They worked great with no leaks and they compact enough to fit into the storage container I use.
the controller has great reviews, I got it because my factory controller wasn't working well with the new camper that has electric/hydraulic brakes and I was experiencing a 5 second lag for the trailer brakes to come on. this controller works better with a 2 to 3 second lag, need to try a couple different combos on settings, have the boost at 3 (per recommendations) and gain at 2.5 and under hard braking it locks up the trailer tires. going to try boost on 2 and bump up the gain and see if that works better.
Super happy! etrailer delivers with great customer satisfaction. Only 1/2 my original order arrived, missing my SilverBack RV sewer hose, which apparently was lost or stolen, who knows. Carol responded to my response and got another one on its way, immediately, with no hassle. I'm a customer for life. Thanks etrailer!
I just got this delivered and so haven't used it yet, so this is sort of a what's in the box review. The reason I ordered this is because it accordions. The last two sewer hoses stretched out and never regained their shape, and so were difficult to store. First impression is that this returns to the shorter length very readily. This pipe comes with simple stick-in plugs, not the type of plug that connects to the prongs on the end of the pipe. This may be a problem in the long run if they fall out easily. I have saved some of my better pipe caps and so will see how this works. Would much prefer pipe caps that engage with the slots and prongs on the pipe ends to get a better seal.

They are still going strong. They are not the main hoses I use. I use the Rhino I bought from etrailer in 2016 which is doing well with a little leaking. But this product has held up. I am glad it was two hoses since I have a gray water tank in the front so I can use both hoses to go to a Y connection if I need to.
