Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV-designer gas strut. Now this gas strut is the kind of support arm that you see holding up things like your RV doors, truck caps, or storage compartments. Its main job is gonna make opening and closing smoother and safer. This is built to last with a durable black finish.
And the overall length measuring center of ball socket, the center of ball socket's gonna be right at 17 inches. This is going to give you about 35 pounds of lifting force, which is gonna help take some of the weight off when you're lifting something like a cargo door or bed platform. Instead of it slamming shut, the strut is going to control the movement so it's gonna open easily and close in a more controlled way. But it's gonna be pretty versatile. You're gonna be able to use this on RV beds, entry doors, truck caps, or really any compartment that needs a little lift assistance.
The design is compact, so it's gonna fit nicely even in those tighter or hidden spaces. We replaced the gas struts on the rv king size bed that came with our 5th wheel with these because after we upgraded the mattress the original ones couldn't support the weight.
