Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at our LaSalle Bristol Motodrain with an electronic waste valve for three-inch black water tanks. So folks, if you're like me and you're tired of having to manually take those cables and those handles, little key handles, and open and close the waste valve, now you can simply do it with a push of the button with the motorized valve. So, it's gonna come preassembled and ready to replace the old, manual blade style and it installs on your three-inch line coming from your black water tank, using your existing flanges. They even give you the lubricated seals to come with it or gaskets.
Now, it does include a three-position rocker switch that lights up whenever it's open, and you're gonna need a 12-volt power source to wire this whole thing up. They give you a nice wall plate to put the rocker switch on, along with the fuse in that circular spot. You get a nice length of wire here, and it came pre-connected there just for shipping, but you would unplug that, this guy would get plugged in there, obviously, and then you'd have a nice, motorized, open and close option. Now, here on the top, you do have a pin that you can manually take off, and then you can manually open and close this gate here whenever you're doing that. So, some quick dimensions.
When it's closed like this, the height from the bottom to the top here is 9 1/2 inches tall. And when it's open, from the top to the bottom is 14 inches tall. So, why would you need to manually open and close it Well, if you're not near power or for some reason, your battery dies and you need to do a dumper or whatnot, you could still manually open and close it. So, good option to have there on that. The backside looks pretty much just like the front.
Nice motor. Everything's sealed up on the motor, so you don't have to worry about corrosion and all that. One thing to note, where the valve must be installed so that it opens horizontally to the ground or that it's pointed upward. So, if it's installed at a downward angle, pooling water could cause damage. So, the wiring harness here is about 17 inches long, you got an 8 inch length here on this one, and the rocker switch here has about 18 inches of length on it as well.
Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at this LaSalle Bristol Motodrain electronic waste valve. I'm Steven, thanks for watching and have a great day.
