Video Transcript for Review of MEC Propane Fittings - Hoses - MEC77UR

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the MEC 12-foot-long Propane Hose. So if you need to connect a propane regulator to an appliance, those components are separated by quite a bit of distance. This 12 feet of flexible hose will help you make that connection without having to piece together multiple, shorter lines. So the main thing you wanna do is make sure you're matching up the ends that you need. What kind of connections are you gonna be using In this case, we got both 3/8-inch female flare swivels.

So those are gonna be the exact same thing, and that's gonna make it easy, because now you can tighten these independently without having to twist to rotate that hose. And these do use flare connections, so that seal is created with the mating flare whenever the surfaces come together and you tighten that up. So there's no need for tape or sealant, but I highly recommend you test them for leaks after you got them put together, just to be safe. We sell that gas leak detection separately, as well. The hose is a thermoplastic design.

It's been fully crimped on both ends with brass ferrules. It's rated up to 350 PSI of working pressure, and it is UL and CGA approved for propane. Folks, that's gonna wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
