Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GE Appliances 13,500 BTU white high efficiency RV air conditioner. Now this is gonna be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or add an air conditioner on your RV's ducted or ductless system in your small to medium sized camper. This high efficiency 13,500 BTU per hour unit is going to cool down the inside of your camper evenly and it's going to handle hard road conditions. And all of this comes from a brand name that you know and trust.

Now this does use the more energy efficient R-32 refrigerant, which is going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations. So because of that, this will not be backwards compatible with any AC system from 2024 and earlier. Now this is a bolt on installation. However, the hardware is not included. This is simply for the AC unit itself.

You will need a compatible air distribution box, control box, which is the brains of the operation, and the thermostat. And those components will not only have to be compatible, but they also have to be compatible with the R-32 refrigerant. Now this will fit roofs from two to six inches thick with an opening size of 14 3/8 inches long by 14 3/8 inches wide.

And this, looking at the measurements here of this unit, the overall length, we're sitting right at about 32 13/16 inches long. The overall width is gonna be 26 1/8 inches wide. The overall height is gonna be right under 14 inches tall, and the weight is a little bit under 80 pounds. So this is gonna run pretty quietly for you because the motor has sound dampening grommets, which is going to help reduce the annoying humming sound and vibration. And this is gonna be an easy swap for most RVs.

It's going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening, and you probably really can't see it from that viewpoint, but we do have foam pads here that are going to be at the base of the unit. So that's gonna provide further insulation for you between the unit and the roof of your RV as well. This is built tough for the road. It's constructed of high grade materials that are going to withstand extreme UV rays and constant vibration. This does have a white hard automotive grade polymer shroud that's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from water and debris. And it can be removed for easy maintenance and cleaning if need be. You saw that I accidentally popped up a picture there of the wiring harness earlier. I'm gonna put it up there again there for you. This is going to be tucked up underneath the air conditioner unit and I thought showing you a photo there on your screen would give you a better view of the connector. So you're just gonna pull that harness down from the opening underneath the AC unit and run that through the opening of the roof of your RV and plug it in. You will wanna keep the rear of this unit at least 18 inches away from any obstructions for proper airflow. And again, this is coming from GE, which is a trusted name, especially with appliances in the home and in the kitchen in particular. So you're gonna be bringing that trustworthiness and reliability into your RV with this unit. We do provide this exact same AC unit with a black cover, if that goes better with your setup.
