Simple Installation

Advent Air AC Installation 15,000 BTU

Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.

Advent Air AC Collapsible Gasket and Foam Pads

On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.

In order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat.

Additional Accessories

Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ADV34QR) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.

Advent Air Warranty Coverage

2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.

If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

Video Transcript for Review of Advent Air RV Air Conditioners - 13500 Btu White Low Profile RV AC R32 - ADV66SR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Advent Air 13,500 BTU White Low-Profile RV Air Conditioner. Now, this AC is going to give you 13,500 BTUs of cooling power. That's gonna be great for your medium to large-size travel trailers and Class C RVs. The sleek low-profile design not only enhances the look of your RV, but it's also going to ensure efficient cooling without the bulk. And this is gonna be perfect for those who prefer a streamlined, yet stylish, exterior while maintaining that ultimate comfort inside.

Let's talk measurements before we go any further. The overall length here from end to end, we are sitting right at about 31 and 3/16 inches long. The overall width, about 24 7/8 inches wide. The overall height, right at 10 1/8 inches tall. So indeed, you can see that this is a low-profile AC unit.

This is going to fit roofs from 2 1/2 inches to five inches thick, with an opening size of 14 1/4 inches long by 14 1/4 inches wide. This weighs about 65 or 70 pounds, give or take a pound here or there. And now, as you probably know, this is just the AC unit only. So to fully complete the installation, this is going to need to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air Air Distribution Box and Thermostat. So this is not going to be backwards compatible with any air conditioner system from 2024 and earlier due to the new R-32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulation.

So this indeed does use the new R-32 refrigerant. So whether your setup is ducted or ductless, this flexible system is going to seamlessly integrate with both, giving you a hassle-free upgrade. So, as you probably know, one of the unsung heroes of a comfortable RV trip is a quiet environment. An Advent Air's condensation system, their condensation dispersion system plays a crucial role in that. By managing moisture efficiently, this system minimizes water runoff, so that's gonna reduce potential noise outside your vehicle as well.

This means more peaceful parking at campgrounds and serene travels down the highway, letting you focus on the joy of your journey. So this does feature a durable white hard plastic cover that's going to shield the internal components from water and debris. That's going to ensure that your unit remains in top condition, no matter where your adventures take you. We do have a thick collapsible gasket at the bottom here with six noise-reducing foam pads. I think you can probably see this one here. So it's going to ensure that this fits snugly onto your RV roof, giving you the support in sealing that opening to prevent leaks. Although minor adjustments may be needed depending on your RV setup, these thoughtful design elements are gonna make the process smoother. It's gonna make sure that your AC is ready to deliver comfort on all of your travels. Now, you can extend the comfortable use of this unit with the electric heat strip that's sold separately. That's gonna be perfect for those mild nights or crisp mornings. It just takes the chill out of the air. You can find that heat strip under the Related Products section. This, it also adds versatility, especially if you enjoy RVing year round. Now, you can also add a start capacitor for improved performance, and you can find that sold separately on the Related Products section of this product page as well. Now, obviously, again, this does come in white, and I did want to show you, let me see if I can get that real quick for you. So the wiring harness there, the plug, to give you a view of that real quick so that it's gonna be tucked in underneath there, and that'll just come through the opening of your roof. But we do also have this same unit in black. So if you prefer the black cover over the white, we do have that available, and we also have it available in 15,000 BTU as well. So if the 13,500 isn't quite enough, we do have this available in 15K. So if one of those numbers works better for you than what we've got here on the table, you can just take those numbers and pop it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to exactly what you're looking for. Now, again, this is just gonna be for the AC unit only. If you need help finding kits or related parts, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Ultimately, we do wanna be sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. That's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
