Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Toyota Corolla iM, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Square Bar Roof Rack System, consisting of part numbers INB117, these are the square crossbars, 46" long, part number INSUT, these are the Inno feet for the square crossbars, and finally, part number INK467, and this is the custom fit kit for the Corolla. The Inno Square Bar Roof Rack System is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. This can carry anything from bike racks, to cargo baskets, to some smaller cargo boxes as well. The square bars are nice and durable. However, when you're driving down the road, they can make a little bit of noise while you drive. To cut down that noise, we do offer several fairings that you can find on etrailer.com.
All the end caps are lockable, so once you have this attached, it's going to be secured to your roof as well.I'd like the give you a couple quick measurements now. Measuring from the center of the roof to the top of the bar, that's going to be about 4-1/2" tall. From the center of the roof to the bottom, that's going to be about 3-1/2". Now, that gives you plenty of space for your accessories, should you have them clamp on, and that's not going to make contact with your roof when you install those as well. Both bars combined have a weight capacity of 132 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs.
We have our front bar already installed on our roof, and we have a rear bar partially assembled on our table here. Here, you're going to have the Inno foot pack and the fit kit to install this on there, as well as the keys to lock it into place. Our first step is, we're going to take our foot pack and place it onto the other end of our square bar. To put this in place, you go to this notch here, you push down, which is going to open the square portion, and that enables us to slide our bar through. Measure from the center, make sure everything is nice and even on both sides, and that looks good there.
And at this point, we can start installing our fit kit on the other side.You can see how this is going to fit into our foot pad here. And these are numbered, so just be sure you're putting the proper pad in the proper area, and that's going to be the same for our clamps here. Instead, with those, we're going to loosen up the end here, install the clamp, and then this piece goes over that, place this piece second, and finally, our little handle here. Top it off with our end cap, and that just pushes into place. Now we can set this on the roof of our vehicle.
Now we're ready to set this in place, we'll open up our rear doors first. And when we set our rear bar into place, we're not going in any place in particular right now, because we still have to make a . Take a measurement to put it in its proper location.To get this in its proper place, we're measure from the center of the doorjamb back to the center of our bar here, so that's in its proper place, and we'll repeat this on the driver's side, and then we can start tightening things down. We'll loosely tighten this up to each side first just to get it snug, then tighten it up the rest of the way, like so. And we'll give about five turns each side until it's completely tightened down. And once it's tightened down, we'll push it in place and lock it down. And now it's secured to our roofs, and we can grab our accessories and hit the road. And there you have it for the Inno Square Bar Roof Rack System on our 2017 Toyota Corolla iM.
