Was hoping key would fit my vw locking roof bars and was so happy to find the key I ordered would fit. It was my understanding that vw roof bars are made by Thule. It seems to be the case so I'm very happy.

Amazing service! Leaving for vacation and two days prior couldn't find lock key for my Thule cargo carrier. Found one on etrailer and next day had it. Paid premium for over night but gotta do what you gotta do.
The keys were perfect, I could open the top parts of the rack but it seems that the bottom parts that sit on the roof are different cause I can open the end parts on them and there is no number on them or indication to match to a key number, beside that I,m very satisfied thank you

Need keys for my Thule ski/snowboard rack which was locked on my car (my son lost the keys). These worked perfectly. Great price and quick shipment! Now the rack has been put away until next winter.
etrailer.com is an excellent resource from which to obtain hard-to-find parts like keys. This is the second time I've lost the keys to my Thule cargo box. The first time I lost the keys I went back to [retailer] where I bought the cargo box and wouldn't you know, [retailer[ is just like [retailer]: They can sell you the product, but if you ever need a part for that product you are out of luck. I guess that's the reality of mass retail these days. Thankfully etrailer.com keeps these keys on hand and they perfectly fit by Thule cargo box. This is the second time I've ordered the keys and both times order notification and shipping were "[retailer]-like". That may sound like a strange compliment but that's the level of precision I've seen from etrailer.com. They are like [retailer]: Fast and furious.
I lost the keys to my Thule Sonic box. I tried replacing the cylinders using some I found from REI but they didn't work. I could not remove the cylinder with the supplied removal key. So I returned the cylinders and did a Google search and found etrailer. Placed an order and received the new keys in just a few days. The keys are brand new, fit, and work perfectly. Etrailer sends order status updates in email so I knew exactly where my order was at every step. The service works as well as anything from Amazon which is very nice. I'm very happy. I had some stuff in that box I really needed to get out without breaking it. Problem solved.

One year later and the keys are still working perfect. As near as I can tell they are an exact match to the keys that came with the Thule Sonic. Its amazing how easy it is to lose something as critical as the key to your travel storage container. I had a wedding to attend with a drive from Austin, TX to Toronto, ON and it would have been really sad to have left the Thule behind. I needed the storage space to help the new couple move some of their stuff back to the States for college. The replacement keys from etrailer.com saved me.
