Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products' Propane Hose. This is going to be a rubber hose assembly. That's going to feed your gas from your propane tank to your travel trailer's regulator. When you're looking for a propane hose, the three most important things that you would want are the links and the fits. This is a 15 inch long hose.
Actual measurement it's probably closer to about 15 and 7/8ths, or just under 16 inches. It's got an inner diameter of a quarter of an inch, which is going to provide us plenty of flow rate so that we can run all of our appliances all at once. It's got a 400,000 BTU per hour capacity. So that's going to be plenty to use all of our appliances that we need to before it kicks into bypass mode. Now, the bypass mode don't mean to scare you, it's just if your system thinks there's a leak, this will shut it off to prevent any sort of leak, but you'll have plenty of flow right before it gets to that point so you probably never have to worry about it.The fittings, the next important thing, it's got a Type 1 ACME or sometimes called a QCC-1 connection.
That's going to screw onto the outside of your propane tank. And it's going to screw on clockwise, which is more intuitive for those of us who've learned the righty tighty lefty loosey method. The other side is going to be a quarter inch Male NPT, and that's, what's going to screw into your regulator to make that connection. So three things to keep in mind, does your system work with these fittings and is the 15 or closer to 16 inch length going to be enough for you to get from your propane tank to your regulator This hose is UL as well as CSA approved, and that is going to complete our look at the JR Products' Propane Hose..
Do you have a question about this Propane Fitting?
