This compact power center replaces your WFCO 25-amp distribution panel with an all-in-one converter charger and AC/DC distribution, plus multi-stage charging and automatic lithium detection for a straightforward, reliable upgrade.
Many RV owners upgrade their power center because the factory converter never charged batteries the way it should. Slow recovery times and batteries that never quite reach full are common signs. The WFCO Power Center is designed to fix that by using charging profiles matched to your battery type. Lead-acid batteries receive true 3-stage charging with higher voltage during bulk charging, then step down to normal, and trickle/float stages as they recover. Lithium batteries follow a simpler two-stage process designed for faster, more consistent charging. The result is quicker recharge times and less day-to-day strain on your batteries, helping them last longer and perform more reliably.
Upgrading to lithium batteries is usually about better performance and long-term value, not extra complexity. This power center uses WFCO's Auto-Detect technology to recognize lithium or lead-acid batteries and apply the correct charging profile automatically. There are no switches to set and no settings to guess at. Once installed, it charges your batteries the way they are designed to be charged, helping you get the faster recovery, longer service life, and consistent performance that make lithium a worthwhile upgrade for your RV.
Instead of juggling separate components, the WFCO Power Center combines your AC breaker panel, DC fuse block, and converter into one compact unit. This helps keep wiring organized and reduces clutter in tight RV compartments. With four AC circuits and four DC circuits, it provides capacity for everyday RV essentials like outlets, lighting, appliances, and onboard electronics. The power center accepts standard residential breakers and automotive fuses (not included). You can check the product manual for recommended brands and styles, which are easy to find and purchase from most hardware or RV stores.
Electrical upgrades only bring peace of mind if they operate safely day after day. This power center is built with protections against overheating, over-current conditions, and reverse polarity connections, so a wiring mistake or heavy load doesn't turn into a bigger problem. LED indicator lights provide quick visual feedback to help identify power and fault conditions, making troubleshooting more straightforward. If operating limits are ever exceeded, the system can shut itself down to protect the electronics. It's built-in protection that's reassuring when you're upgrading battery types or replacing an older converter.
This WF-8725-AD is designed to replace many factory-installed WFCO 25-amp power centers, which is why it fits so well in common RV power center locations. It can also be used as a replacement for other brands with similar layouts and capacity. Because every RV is a little different, it's still important to verify cutout dimensions and wiring before installing. Some applications may require minor adjustments depending on the original layout. Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our WFCO Auto-Detect Power Center. Now this has four circuits, folks. It does have three AC circuits, a 30-amp primary circuit, and four DC circuits. So, this is gonna give you a nice design flexibility.
It's gonna work in even the smallest RVs. And with the auto-detect technology, it will recognize your battery's chemistry, depending on what kind it is, and automatically adjust the charging profile to match that. So, if it's a lead acid, you got a three-stage converter in here that handles every charging need that you can imagine. If it's lithium, you're gonna have the multi-stage process ensuring safe operation voltage. And it's gonna replace battery energy, and also it'll balance the battery cells.
And as you can see, you got all your hookups here, a fuse, and then you got a little knockout panel here as well. And then on the back you got some knockout panels and stuff as well. So your breaker would go here, your labels, and then again on the sides in the back, you got a couple knockout spots as needed as well. And then from the top down, you have your fan here, so the airflow system will draw cool air in, and then it's going to expel that warm air back out of the front. So, it's gonna give you a lot smaller, tighter area that it can fit into.
So, it's very nice. As far as the rough opening for installation, I measured beforehand, I got 10 3/8 inches on the cutout section, four inches tall on the cutout. I'm sorry, six inches tall on the cutout, four inches deep, as far as the cutout. Overall, I got 7 5/16 inches tall, five inches overall, and 11 7/8 inches overall on the outside. Now this is also gonna give you some LEDs that allow you to see the converter is operating correctly, and also different colored lights could mean that there's a problem or something you need to look into.
So again, (lid bangs) it's got all the things you need. It even has the pigtails with the wires pre stripped, sorry. And then you can simply pull 'em off all the way. Some of 'em already fell off, it looks like. That's a nice little feature too, if you don't, for whatever reason, have some splicers or something, it's already pre-sliced. So, if you have any questions about this or any other things we carry here at etrailer, reach out. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm Steven. Have a good one.
