Today we're going to be taking a look at part number C48640. This is the Curt Lunette Ring with a 5-Position Adjustable Channel. It's going to be rated at 12,000 pounds. The lunette ring is designed to couple with a pencil hitch. Then you're going to get this channel bracket. This is going to let you adjust the ring's height to match different towed vehicles. Real quick I'll just show you how those two pieces would work together. You'd have your bracket and your lunette ring in here.
The holes are going to line up with the holes on the adjustable channel. That way you can adjust it between 5 different positions to a position that's best going to fit your particular application. Each side is going to have 6 holes. That's going to offer 5 positions: Position 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Mounting hardware is included. You're going to get all the necessary hardware that you need to get the lunette ring mounted onto the channel, You're going to get some hardware that's actually going to allow you to bolt the channel onto your mounting application.
It can be welded on as well. It's a raw steel finish, so it doesn't require very much prep work to get it ready a welding installation option. Again, you can bolt this or weld this on. Now everything is going to be made from a heavy-duty construction. The bracket is made from a formed steel. The lunette ring is made from a forged steel construction. This unit is going to offer a weight capacity of 12,000 pounds. You can see here on the bracket we're going to have 2 holes.
These are going to be separated center-on-center by 10-1/8". Those 2 holes are for the bolt-on installation. The inner diameter here of the ring, that's going to give us a measurement of 3". The outer diameter is going to measure 6-1/8". The channel bracket dimensions inside-to-inside, it's going to be 3"; outside-to-side, that's going to be more of about 3-3/4".
The mounting hole spacing here on the side, those are going to be separated each hole by 2" center-on-center. That's going to do it for our review of part number C48640. This is the Curt Lunette Ring with a 5-Position Adjustable Channel. .

I have bought more than one of these, they are heavy duty and without fault apparently. But this one was ordered less than 24 hours ago but was sitting on my porch by mid afternoon next day, about 18 hours later. exellent. A very heavy duty adjustable lunette. purchased to install on one of my trailers so i can pull it with different trucks. As heavy built as it is i don't for see any problems with it.

Just got to welding this on with my buddy. Product itself is strong and seems very durable. Nice clean surface to weld to. So far I am very happy with the way it pulls. My only complaint is (which is partially my fault for waiting so long to open it) I ordered in advanced and then had to wait about a month for my buddy to be available to use his welder. Within that month I didn't realize the nuts for the small bolts that come with it to bolt the bracket on for extra strength were missing. When I contacted customer support they said their policy is I had to notify within 5 days so this was void. Although they were helpful on telling me what assembly package I could buy from them or what bolt I could buy from a store near me.
