Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Carr Custom-Fit Side Step

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this car hoop to custom fit sidestep. This is a stylish and sturdy cast aluminum alloy step that's going to provide a five-inch drop to help you to more easily get into and out of your vehicle. Now this is designed specifically for many of the 2015 and newer Chevrolet and GMC vehicles, including the Colorado, the Silverado, 1500, 2500 and 3500 as well as the GMC Canyon and Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500. So you can rest assured that when you get this, it's gonna install very easily, it's gonna fit the way it should. So this does fit really nice. It's a precision precise fit for your vehicle. These head, mounting heads attached to your rocker panels. They are constructed of a zinc plated steel.

So they are gonna give you a nice firm connection. All the hardware that you're gonna need is included as well as instructions on how to get this installed properly. So they're easy to get this all installed. And then once it's installed, you'll have this nice large seven inch long by 3 1/2 inch wide platform to step up on and to make it easier to get in and out of your truck. This does have a non slip diamond tread to give you a little bit more traction and stability.

And even though this is an aluminum construction, it is still gonna be very strong and durable. So, it has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. So it is going to hold up really well for you. You can see this hoop style does give it a nice rugged off-road, sort of look. Our overall length is gonna be 10 inches, but because it does have that aluminum construction, of course it is going to be rust-proof, so we're not kind of to worry about that.

It does also have this XP3 Xtreme Black Powder Coat finish to it on top of that aluminum construction. And that powder coat finish is gonna resist chipping, peeling and fading, and it does give it a nice lightly textured matte black appearance. So it is going to look really nice on just about any application in the paint job, that sort of thing it's going to blend in and look really good having that on your vehicle.
