Video Transcript for Review of Access Mud Flaps - Custom Fit Full Width - A98ZA

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at our Access Rockstar custom mudflap. It's a full width with a diamond-plate tread pattern. Now folks, this is a custom-fit application, so make sure you're checking the Fit Guide here at etrailer.com where it says things like year, make, and model under My Vehicle. Enter those things and make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Keep in mind, sometimes these videos can be outdated and it could potentially fit newer years and models.

Now, as you can see again, full, full length of the back of the vehicle and then some. So it's gonna cover and shield everything that you're towing from mud, rocks, debris, those kind of things, weather, protect your boat, your car, your fifth-wheel trailer, maybe a classic car on just a flat-bed trailer, who knows But it's gonna protect anything from flying up and hitting all that. And of course you have hardware included. So a lot of these mounting brackets here will go through pre-drilled slots in the mudflap. And I'll go ahead and slide this over a little bit so you can kind of take a look at one of those slots.

So as you can see, you got a slit here. And I checked the instructions, this will go through one way or the other. And basically, it's gonna marry up with the other part that gets mounted on your truck and then you'll use the pin to hold it in place. So that's what's neat too, you can pull two pins, pull it off, and just like that, you're ready to go back to your factory mudflaps if you don't want this on all the time or something of that nature. You also have a couple spots depending on your vehicle.

If you need to finish taking these off on each side to fit maybe the exhaust and those kind of things, that option's there. Again, depending on your particular vehicle, you may or may not need or want to do that. The rubber here is a nice heavy-duty 5/16-inch thick, smooth rubber. I'm gonna go ahead and pull this up and we're gonna take a little better, closer look rather from the side upside down. So you can see you have a nice metal bar that goes the full length, and then right here where they meet, there's a nice thick metal bar inside of there that you can't see and those two bolts hold these two sides together.

So again, you can see the thickness of the rubber and the nice diamond tread and everything is covered, giving you nice protection against corrosion and those kind of things as well. Now, what's nice about these also is it has that coating on there. That's gonna help reduce the buildup of ice, mud, and those kind of things, and it's also gonna be maintaining the flexibility of the rubber. So in temperatures as low as negative 40 even, this is gonna remain flexible. You'll be able to move it as needed, if you have to take it on and off and those kind of things, and it's gonna do a great job in extreme temperatures.
