Features to know about

Stable Support That Stays Put: Integrated Counter-Balance Valve Prevents Drift

When a trailer sits for weeks or months, you don’t want the jack slowly creeping down. This hydraulic jack has an integrated counter-balance valve that holds pressure steady and keeps your trailer level without drift or retraction while it’s parked. It’s a smart upgrade for a seasonal setup where stability matters.

Handles Heavy Loads with Ease: 12,000 lb Lift Capacity and 15,000 lb Support

Big equipment or fully loaded trailers need a jack that won’t flinch under weight. This left-side hydraulic leg delivers a 12,000 lb lift capacity and 15,000 lb support capacity, giving you solid control from hookup through leveling. The hydraulic design moves smoothly under load, so adjustments feel effortless instead of like a workout.

Reliable Operation Across the Full Range: 24-1/4" Lift and 59" Extended Height

Uneven ground or tall couplers aren’t a problem with 24-1/4" of lift and up to 59" of total extension. The large pivoting footpad stays planted even on rough surfaces, giving you better traction and stability when the terrain isn’t perfect.

Built to Last: Square Tube Design with Durable Black Finish

Hydraulic parts need protection from grit and weather. The square-tube construction and exterior-grade black finish keep rust and wear at bay, so the jack stays dependable season after season. Mounting tabs measure 7-1/2" x 4" for a clean bolt-on fit, and the 10" x 10" footplate spreads the load evenly to keep the base solid.

Simple Upgrade: Works with Existing Hydraulic Systems

If you already have a hydraulic setup, this left/curb-side leg ties right in. It’s built to work with systems offering up to 3,200 psi extension and 1,500 psi retraction pressures, letting you expand or replace components without starting from scratch. Just bolt it on and plug into your current pump and power unit for confident, steady lifting.

Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Jack - Left Leg Hydraulic with Counter Balance - e83VV

Hi, everybody. Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at a hydraulic jack with integrated counterbalance valve. This is the left leg square two bolt-on, rated at 12,000 pounds capacity. Now folks, the hydraulic left or curbside jack leg works with your existing hydraulic setup. A hydraulic pump and power unit and a right/streetside leg would need to be used to complete a full kit, and those parts are sold separately.

If you don't have them, you can get them here at etrailer.com. Now, this works with units offering up to 3,200 PSI extension and 1500 PSI retraction pressures. Now, it has what's called an integrated counterbalance valve that's gonna eliminate dirt drift and or it's gonna eliminate drift and retraction. Now, it is great for seasonal trailers. It gives you a smooth and effortless operation even for super heavy loads.

Now, it has a large pivoting foot plate on the base as well. I've actually got that blocked up so it can't tilt just for my safety 'cause it's a very heavy jack. This can tilt this way and that way whenever it's facing the way I've got it now, I'm gonna leave them in there just for my safety again, since it's not held up. But it can tilt on the base, and that is a 10 inch by 10 inch square foot plate. It's a simple, easy bolt-on application.

As you can see, you got a bracket here and one on the bottom. Some quick dimensions of this bracket, right at seven and a half by four inches tall on the bracket. The jack itself is right about four and a half by four and a half inch square tube. And an overall height from the base of the jack up to the top when it's fully retracted, it's 34 and 7/8 inches tall. And if you fully extend it to its height, it can go up to 59 inches fully extended from the top to the base.

It has a lift capacity of 12,000 pounds and a support capacity of 15,000 pounds. So folks, this is the hydraulic jack with integrated counterbalance valve. Again, the left leg square two bolt-on rated 12,000 pounds. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching. And as always, stay safe while you're towing.

Very poor package not all parts came with it savers and bolts all lose in box

by:

Item shipped super fast and was heavy built and was actually heavier built than oem jack. Thanks a lot for the great service.

by:

by:

Gets the job the done at a slower pace.

by:

Great option for a heavy duty, easy to use jack. Was easy to customize to fit our application. Will be buying more of these for our customers.

by:

Very pleaeed

by:

This is our 4th one of these jacks, we put them on all our trailers and they work great.

by:

The product itself is good this is my second Ram jack. Unfortunately like others I received the package severely damaged.

by:

Working Awesome

by:

Love the jack, but, it came without a box. Only a piece of it was left. Some parts missing because box was non existent.

by:

I just bought two more, so they save some time. Boxes were destroyed as other reviews say... Have not been home to see if the product is damaged/

by:

Product looks ok so far , its box was in very bad shape. Looks like it thrown and dropped a few times .
I only received one leg ?
Is second one shipped separately?

by:

etrailer has great parts and even better service their staff is amazing!

by:

Very Good Product Works Very Well, The Guys at ETRAILER WERE VERY PROMPT AND PROFFESSIONAL. The Only Gripe I have is the Shipping package by the time it got to me the cardboard packaging was tour all to h***LL. I was worried that the fittings were broke off, But they were OK. Other than that COMPLETLY SATISFIED.

by:

The jack is great. The lightweight shipping box is a disaster. Thankfully the jack wasn’t destroyed when it arrived, only the cardboard box was torn into shreds and no instructions were to be found. Also, check e-trailer’s pricing. I watched the price change in the web site literally every time I looked it up, sometimes changing twice daily. There was a $[xx] price swing between when I bought it, and the dozens of times I checked price before purchasing.

by:

It is a great trailer jack.

The jack shipped quickly, but the packaging was inadequate, leaving it vulnerable during transit. The main issue is the misleading claim about the counterbalance valve. It only prevents drift when extended, not during transit, which is a key safety concern. A proper counterbalance valve should lock in both directions. I plan to test it further and hope to make it work with modifications, but buyers should know the limitations upfront. For the low price, it’s worth trying to salvage.

Everything was exactly the way I wondered it Thanks

  • Where is the Counterbalance Valve Integrated?
Hello Donnie, Looking at your orders, I do not see what jack was ordered, I only see an order for a tonneau cover. The # e83VV does come with the integrated counter balance valve, it is built into the valve system. If I know exactly what jack you have, and where you got it, I can better answer your question.

  • What is Difference Between etrailer Hydraulic Jacks E83VV and E23VV
Hey Kellen, so the jack part # e83VV is considered the left side and the part # e23VV which is the right leg side. The difference is the side that the hydraulic fitting is on so that it better lines up. The left leg has the fitting on the right side and the right jack on the opposite. Because of that they are not interchangeable.
