Today we're going to be taking a look at the Syracuse 2" Hitch Cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to show your school pride. It's going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover's made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish over the entire unit which is really going to help resist rust and corrosion, making sure that it's protected and that it lasts a long time. Here at the front we got the chrome plated metal emblem, says Syracuse right here at the top, and then it's got the large S. It's got a nice rust-proof and fade-proof design.
The product is made right here in the USA. Here on the backside, it's going to feature a foam gasket that goes around the piece that slides into the receiver tube of our hitch. That foam gasket's going to help reduce rattle in between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. It does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock to get it fully installed in your hitch, those items are sold separately, but if you're in need of one, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on the hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall width of the hitch cover face, we're looking at about 5".
The overall height, it's going to measure about 3-1/2". Then the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole, that's going to measure 2-1/2" or pretty close to 2-1/2". This is designed for a 2" by 2" trailer hitch receiver. Very simple installation, you just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pin holes, and secure it with your hitch pin and clip or hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the Syracuse 2" Hitch Cover from AMG.

Like new….still! We just returned from a 6 week, 6000 mile trip pulling this Jeep in all types of weather. I washed the Jeep yesterday, this hitch cover still looks brand new. Good job to whoever made this one.
