Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer gas strut. So this is a gas strut, kind of like the support arm that you see holding things up like RV doors, truck caps, or storage compartments. Its main job is to make opening and closing a whole lot smoother, safer, and easier. This is built to last with a durable black finish. And getting my tape measure here, measuring center of socket to center of socket, it is 20 inches long, and this is gonna give you about 40 pounds of lifting force.
That's gonna help take some of the weight off when you lift something, like a cargo door or bed platform. Instead of slamming it shut, this strut is going to control the movement, so it's gonna open easily and close in a more controlled way. This is a ball-and-socket installation. This does not include ball studs, so this will just attach to your current studs. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
The product worked great. Easy installa tion.
We replaced the gas struts on the rv king size bed that came with our 5th wheel with these because after we upgraded the mattress the original ones couldn't support the weight. These are working much better and support the weight of the bed when lifted up with no problemo. They were very easy to swap out from the original ones also.
