When you're off-grid and the AC or fridge kicks on, small generators bog down or get loud. This 2,800W fixed-mount inverter runs on gas or propane and delivers stable power, so your essentials and electronics keep running without disruption.
Boondocking gets limited fast when cooling, refrigeration, and electronics all need power away from hookups. This fixed-mount generator supplies 2,800 watts, 23.3 amps, and 120 volts for onboard RV power. Essential systems can keep running while the RV is parked off-grid.
Laptops, TVs, and other electronics need power that does not fluctuate wildly under load. Inverter output with a brushless PM design delivers low-distortion electricity for sensitive electronics. Devices can run from the generator while the RV electrical system is in use.
Fuel availability can change from one stop to the next, especially on longer trips. Dual-fuel operation lets the generator run on gasoline or propane. The RV can keep power available using the fuel source that fits the setup on hand.
Some onboard generators constantly rev up and down, making it hard to relax outside or even hold a conversation nearby. This generator uses inverter technology and a softer sound profile to keep noise levels more controlled as power demand changes. That means you can run the A/C, charge devices, or watch TV without the generator becoming the loudest part of camp. It also makes late nights, early mornings, and crowded campgrounds a lot less stressful for you and the people parked nearby.
Small RVs, vans, and truck campers often leave little room for onboard power equipment. This generator includes a mounting frame, giving you the choice of a hanging install or installation on an existing platform. The compact, lightweight construction measures 22" long x 16-7/8" wide x 13-3/8" and weighs 90-110 lbs. Permanent installs can fit tighter onboard spaces while keeping generator power mounted with the rig.
Bad weather, early mornings, or a dead start system can make generator startup a pain. Electric start, remote start capability, and backup recoil start give you more than one way to get power going. Start it from the RV controls (sold separately) or fall back on the recoil start and keep the trip moving.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Flex Power Onboard RV Generator with 2,800 watts. It's a dual fuel option and it has a built-in inverter. Now folks, this is considered a fixed mount generator. This unit will deliver up to 2,800 watts of inverter power built for smaller RVs, vans, and off-grid setups.
Now this is also gonna give you, with that inverter power, clean, stable energy, electricity that's gonna be safe for sensitive electronics, whether it's your laptops, TVs, or other modern devices. Now one of the standout features that I like is its dual fuel capabilities. So you have your main power cord here. I just kinda let the cable tie it outta the box. You have your electrical plugin here, and then you have the dual fuel hookups here.
You have the propane or gasoline option, and those just come with some plastic caps on 'em out of the box just for keeping the thread safe and those kind of things, keeping dirt and whatnot out. So I'm gonna go ahead and pop them back on there so that we keep it nice and clean. And then you have your other connections here for power ground, and all those have lock nuts and stuff on 'em. And then you notice the bracket here on the sides to help mount it in the RV, van, or coach or whatever. And then you got the exhaust pipe.
You should already have an exhaust pipe that's gonna connect to that and get that exhaust out and away from the RV, van, or whatnot. If you don't, we do carry those separately as well. And then on the top here, you have your fill funnel here for fluids. You have your tool here, this will be for getting those spark plugs in and out when the time comes for maintenance. And of course, you have a screwdriver here that you can flip over by simply pulling it out and flipping it over to give you a flathead or your standard Phillips options.
And all of those tools come in this nice little baggy here, and then you could either keep them in a separate compartment. That way if you need 'em for maintenance times, it's ready to go. It's got a nice button on there. I'm gonna take them off to the side. And then on the front here, obviously you can open this, pull down and out, and now we can access the inside. And you can see this has some foam on here for silencing it to kind of keep it quiet, and that's inside of the main metallic housing as well. Now a lot of these generators, I'm able to take this apart and show you the main engine, if you will and everything, but this one, you have to take off the side brackets and a couple bolts to get to all that. So I decided to leave it all on for today. You can take off these two screws here that have finger holds on 'em, and that's your air filter access. Of course, you got oil where it says oil. And then you got your reset, gas primer, on, off buttons. And then you got some LED indicators here. And of course, your main on, off switch. And then this lever here, you can switch it down for LP and it says it molded there on the plastic. I don't think you can probably see it there because it's far away. And then tilt it up like that, it's on gasoline. And again, that's right there on it. And then you can't see it from your angle, but right down in here, there is an onboard, it looks like a big fuse. And then the motor has these rubber isolators to help keep everything nice and stable while it's running. Now this features electronic fuel injection or EFI that's gonna improve your fuel efficiency, reduce maintenance compared to the carburetor systems that are out there, and also help ensure reliable starts in a wide range of conditions, whether it's summer, winter, raining or not raining, those kind of things. And thanks to its built-in inverter design, it's all-in-one unit, you're gonna get low distortion power, it's gonna be quieter, it's a smooth operation without the loud revving you hear with traditional generators, and it's simply great for camping and RV use. So you're gonna be a lot quieter than your neighbors and friends around you, which is gonna be a plus for yourself as well when it's time to sleep. Now again, it is compact, it's light. It only comes in and about 90 to 100 pounds. That's what the manufacturer's saying. I'm assuming that means whether it has gasoline in it and all those kind of things as well hooked up to it is where they're getting that 10-pound difference, but about 90 to 100 pounds. And again, it is lightweight, so get it installed. When it comes time to change it out, once you receive it, it should be a breeze. That being said, if you don't wanna tackle it, you don't feel confident, no problems. We do have install locator links below on the product page, usually below the photos and the videos, and we can get you set up with a trusted etrailer installation tech in your area based on your zip code that we are partnered with. So check that out as well. You also do have remote start capability. It has a built-in safety protection like heat monitoring, automatic shutdown, and it's gonna give you advanced confidence and peace of mind, meaning if it was getting hot, it would automatically shut down so it doesn't kill itself, those kind of things. So very, very top of the line stuff on here. And so again, whether you're powering essentials for just a weekend trip, whether you're boondocking, maybe you're setting up a van life, those kind of things, this will be a great option for you. So check it out, again, this is the Flex Power 2,800e. Folks, that's gonna wrap up our time together. I'm Steven with etrailer. Thanks so much for watching and have a great day.
