The patent-pending, High-Density Tri-Extruded (HDTE) material features a rigid core for strength and produces surface friction with the carpet for better grip. Advanced surfacing creates channels that carry fluids and debris to a lower reservoir, which has more channeling to help minimize fluid movement while you are driving. Once fluids become trapped in the reservoir, away from shoes and clothing, they are easily removed from the WeatherTech FloorLiner over the door sill.

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at these WeatherTech auto second-row floor mats and how they fit on a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Mats like these can be really useful depending on your situation, whether you maybe just have kids in the back that are always tracking in mud, sand, dirt, snow, or water, anything like that. In any case, if they're spill prone, or sand, again, just getting everywhere, these are going to help funnel all of that dirt, debris, and water into a place where you can just pop 'em out, dump 'em off, rinse 'em off, put 'em back in. Maybe compared to like some carpet mats or something like that that are gonna stain and hold that, these are gonna be a good way to get that out of play. They're made of a rubberized plastic, so they're gonna last and they're gonna hold up to a lot of wear and tear.
Additionally, you can see these ridges built in that work to sort of store and funnel a lot of those liquids and sand and things like that to that place where you can just go ahead and take 'em out, clean 'em off, no worries. On the backside here, you can see that there are a couple of different anchor points which sometimes cars have anchor points built in to places where we can actually snap those into place. For the case of the Silverado, that is not the case but they do include a set of these grips that have a little bit of spikes on the end. So if you pop them in instead of the anchor points, they'll get a little bit more secure grip on the carpet that we have. We're not gonna do it for demonstration purposes but it will be an option available for you.
To get the mats in is really straightforward, but we have to start by getting our old mats out of place and these are pretty small and they don't actually fit as one piece or underneath, so I can just reach in and slide these out. With our old mats out of the way, we can start with getting the new mat in. Can definitely be a little bit cumbersome, just because it is one piece. So it's just gonna be a matter of starting by getting the two front pieces underneath our seats and getting this center piece flush as well and then just sort of folding it down as you go. I don't think there's any necessarily right or wrong way to do it, just however works for you, your vehicle and your fit.
Once the mats are in place, you could see how well they do contour with everything. You can see around the edges here, the lips are also going to fit underneath the seat so nothing's gonna escape over there. Up to and including even the bottom of these seat belts there's a little opening for those, as well. And because it does have the center covered, you're not gonna have anywhere where liquids can escape to or anything that can get stuck underneath the mats. Overall, these floor mats again might be a really good option for you if you want that full coverage and maybe you're traveling with kids very often and they're prone to spilling things, or you work in a job where you need to access the back of your vehicle and maybe you're muddy or you're bringing in water or something like that.
Again, they're really easy just to pop out and clean off. So this is just a look at the WeatherTech rear auto floor mats and how they fit in our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.
