Keep the interior of your vehicle clean with this functional, custom floor mat. Rear floor mat has a rigid plastic core for durability, and its unique, rubberized outer shell grips carpeting while it channels and traps water and debris.

Digital laser measurements of the interior surfaces offer a consistently perfect fit! The patent-pending, High-Density Tri-Extruded (HDTE) material features a rigid core for strength and produces surface friction with the carpet for better grip. Advanced surfacing creates channels that carry fluids and debris to a lower reservoir, which has more channeling to help minimize fluid movement while you are driving. Once fluids become trapped in the reservoir, away from shoes and clothing, they are easily removed from the WeatherTech FloorLiner over the door sill.

Today in our 2015 Volkswagen Golf we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech second row floor mats in black, part number WT444962. Also available in grey, part number WT464962, and in tan, part number WT454962. What I really like about these WeatherTech floor mats is that they give you much greater coverage then the factory floor mats do because not only do they cover more of the floor but they also cover up the sides a little bit with that nice raised lip to help keep everything on that floor mat. It makes the car much easier to clean. Here we've got our factory floor mats installed in the rear of the Golf. As you can see there's dirt and debris that's collecting on them, but also if we look off to the side there's dirt and debris that's sneaking off and getting into the carpet around our factory floor mat. Let's take that out. Over here on the passenger side you can see we've got that exact same thing going on, dirt and debris on the mat, but also getting off to the sides. Let's slide our WeatherTechs up into place there.
Here's our floor mat installed. You can see that it contours the floor of the vehicle really well. We start at the base of the hump in the center. Got this nice raised lip and it just contours very well along the lower seat bracket for the track, and then all the way along the front here. It's got this nice tall ridge right here.
It's going to help block, make sure nothing goes too far forward since it's got the cutout for these vents on the floor, and contouring all the way over towards the threshold at the door and along the front of the rear seat. That nice raised edge is going to help make sure nothing really escapes off of this floor mat. Here in the center of the floor mat we've got these ridges and channels. What these do is help contain any dirt, debris or spills but yet onto the floor mat so that they don't move around too much. The ridges also help keep the passenger's feet up off of anything that may have collected down on this floor mat. Back over here on the driver's side you can see we've got that same great contouring all the way around the edges, all the way up underneath the seat. We've got those same ridges and channels to help provide traction and keep the passenger's feet up and the spills controlled. In order to clean the floor mats you simply remove them from the vehicle, wash them with soap and water, or you can pickup the WeatherTech cleaner and protector kit, part number WT8LTC36K and air or towel dry them.
