Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at our WeatherTech front floor mat. If you wanna upgrade from your current floor mat and you need something that is custom fit for your vehicle, this is a look at them on the 2017 Ford Explorer. So these are made of a high-density material that will hold up to the mud, the dirt, the salt, and the chemicals of the road, but then you also have this design here. So see how we have these little grooves so that all that dirt and debris can channel into a safe spot for you just to dump it out. And you have these tall walls so that when the snow melts, it always contained within the mats, and these walls are custom fit for the contours of your vehicle.
There is a texture to the mat as well, and that way your shoes don't feel like they're slipping on the mat, but you do have a bit of grip on top. So here at etrailer, you can get them as a set of two, so driver's and passenger's side for the front. And if you need more mats, you can also get the second row of mats or even a third row of mats. So with these having a rigid core, they're a little bit more rigid than your regular mats, but that's also good because of how well they contain the mess.
They're pretty easy to cleaning off, although WeatherTech also has some specific cleaning supplies if you want an even better or easier way of cleaning them. Now in order to replace them, it's a very quick and easy process, and we'll take a look at that. Here's our original mat and you can see it's gotten kind of dirty. You can also see the edges allow dirt to just fall through. So we're gonna take this off and see all the dirt underneath, so pop this out of its retaining clips.
We did not vacuum here today since this is a quick test, but we're gonna pretend we did and just pop the new mat right in and see how it fits around those edges. We need to move this around or let it warm up to get all of those wrinkles out, and make sure it clicks into those securing points. With how many contours there are, you definitely need some time in the sun or some warmth on the mats for them to really fit around those edges, so do that as well on the passenger side, but that's it. Super easy to switch out your mats. And now you're ready to hit the road.
