Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at these WeatherTech HP Front Auto Floor Liners here on our 2021 Honda CR-V. These are gonna be a custom fit floor mat for the front seat. You've got a driver and passenger's side, and they're gonna provide some pretty good coverage for the floorboard area here, keeping it protected from moisture, dirt, grime, really, just any sort of elements during all seasons. Let's check them out. Now, the big difference between the HP versions and the regular WeatherTech versions, you've got two options there, is that these HPs are gonna be more of a flexible rubberized thermoplastic, so they're a little bit more flexible, and they just don't have as good of coverage.
The side walls here are very high, very comparable to the regular WeatherTechs, but up front where our pedals are, each side, the floor mat doesn't extend up as far. You still get pretty good coverage, I'll swing my legs around and we can see kind of naturally where they fall. I'd say this is pretty good, but if I did wanna extend my foot up a little bit here or if I was kind of resting it back behind the pedals or anything, there wouldn't be as good of coverage up top. But really, what I'm concerned about most is the side coverage, which we do have, and that the whole floorboard is covered, and it is. You've got ridges with the floor mats that are designed to collect water and divert it down to this basin area where you can easily clean it up, so if there's any spills or water from maybe rain or melted snow, it's gonna collect here and not spill over the sides onto the carpet.
Right next to those, you'll see that we have factory anchor points that we are utilizing on the driver's side here. Those tabs just twist to the unlocked position, you can lift the floor mat out, this one's kinda jammed up on the back there, 'cause it is kind of wrapped up underneath, but just drop it in, twist it to the locked position, and then you're good to go. We've got the black floor mats in here today, but there are color options, you've got tan as well as gray. So for this vehicle, I'd maybe go with the gray ones, 'cause it would really match the seats well and give the whole vehicle a cohesive look. That black one might be nice though, because it does blend in with the floorboard and give a more seamless appearance, so it's really up to you and what you want your vehicle to look like, but they're all gonna function the same way and give you the same protection.
If you need to, you can take the floor mat out and just hose the whole thing off, because water isn't gonna damage it, it's gonna hold up really well to any of those elements. And that was our look at these WeatherTech HP Front Auto Floor Liners. Overall, I think they're a really nice thing to add to your CR-V, and if you want a little extra coverage up and underneath where your feet are gonna be extended in, especially with the passenger's side here, go with the regular WeatherTechs, otherwise, these HP ones are gonna be just fine. Thanks for watching..
