The cat-back system is the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter back to the tailpipe. The Competition Series is designed for American-made vehicles and boasts a noticeably more aggressive tone than other MagnaFlow exhaust systems, so it's perfect for a day at the track. MagnaFlow systems boast mandrel-bent tubes that allow for unrestricted airflow by maintaining the same diameter through every curve. This consistency in diameter decreases back pressure, which boosts power.
Each MagnaFlow performance muffler has a stainless steel, perforated core that runs through the muffler - end to end - with no baffles, chambers, or louvers that restrict airflow. Stainless steel wool layer insulates the perforated core to absorb noise, shield against high exhaust temperatures, and prevent blowouts. Together the mandrel-bent tubes and the muffler in this system increase horsepower, torque, and fuel efficiency.
All system components are made with 100-percent stainless steel to resist corrosion. Clamps and hangers are included for installing onto the OEM exhaust system. MagnaFlow provides a lifetime warranty on all stainless steel exhaust systems.
