These tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame, which is the strongest part of the vehicle. By anchoring to the frame instead of the bed or bumper, the camper’s weight is spread evenly across the truck for better balance and a lower center of gravity. That means reduced sway and wind push, so your rig handles smoothly even on long hauls or rough roads.
When it’s time to drive without the camper, just remove the tie-down arms. The brackets stay tucked up under the truck, nearly hidden from view. You keep the clean lines of your truck without bulky hardware hanging off the sides or stealing ground clearance.

Each tie-down set bolts to existing holes in the truck’s frame, so installation needs little to no drilling and no cutting or welding. The tight fit keeps everything solid while maintaining the truck’s structural integrity. Because they mount close to the frame, they keep ground clearance high and make everyday driving easy whether you’re hauling or not.
Made from strong steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these front and rear tie-downs stand up to weather, road grime, and vibration. The tough coating protects against chips and rust so you can count on them trip after trip.
Each tie-down arm has two pin holes that let you set how far it extends from the truck body, giving turnbuckles (sold separately) a straight pull to the camper anchors without rubbing against your truck. Two anchor holes in the attachment plate let you fine-tune the angle for a solid hold that keeps your camper from shifting on the road.

Today we're going take a look at the TorklLift custom rear frame mounted camper tie downs. Now these are our custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 trucks with either a six and a half foot or eight foot bed without a board or a step underneath the truck bed. On a custom fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to the website, use the fit guide, putting your year and model vehicle and it'll show you this will work for your application. Now these tie downs is what will provide attachment points at the rear of your truck for securing your bed mounted camper to your vehicle. We do also offer front tie downs to match these. They are sold separately and they are listed on this product page as a related product.
Now this part here, these will allow you to feel dramatic improvement with vehicle handling and stability and it is the safest way to haul a truck camper because it'll prevent any vehicle sway and camper movement in all directions. You can haul your truck camper confidently by attaching your tie-downs to the strongest part of the truck, which is the frame and the vehicle manufacturers do recommend that all full height sliding camper bodies should be directly attached to your vehicle frame structure and that frame-mounted design will ensure excellent handling by securing the camper to the truck's base instead of its bed, which will better distribute weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. It'll also help avoid any bed and bumper damage that's common with other tie-down systems that are out there. Now these are a fast no drill installation securing your truck camper to your truck and it'll help maintain the value of your truck and prevent any rust and bed damage by avoiding drilling into your truck bed or bumper. And as I mentioned, these are custom fit for your vehicle. The brackets will fit tight to your truck frame, so there's no loss of any ground clearance when these are installed. It is perfect if you do any off-road truck camping. These are virtually undetectable when they're not in use.
The tie-down inserts., this portion right here, can be easily removed from the frame-mounted receiver brackets by just unhooking the snapper pins right here. Slide out the tie down inserts, and then these parts, the brackets will all be hidden underneath the hidden design of the brackets. Will return your truck to its original look. you won't even know they're on there. Now on your tie-down inserts, when you do go to install them, you'll notice there's two holes to allow you to connect these turnbuckles that will connect right here on the ends so they will not interfere with anything on your vehicle. When you go to install your tie down insert, you use the first hole to extended out from the camper, if you use the second hole, brings it a little bit closer so you can just put it to whatever one fits your application.Once you get your hole lined up, push your separate pensive and it holds it into place.
Now these do have a driver's side and passenger side bracket. Basically, when these are installed, this is on the driver's side, so the shorter side of the tie-down will face the rear of the truck. This is the passenger side. So again, the shorter side will face the rear of the truck and these are steel construction. They have a nice black powder coat finish for durability.
Does include everything I laid out here on the table. The two rear tie-down inserts, which are these portions right here, the frame brackets that mount to the vehicle's frame, and all the necessary hardware to install it. Nice set of detailed instructions and these parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on the TorkLift custom rear frame mounted camper tie-downs.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
