These tie-downs mount directly to the truck’s frame, giving your camper a rock-solid anchor point that keeps it steady mile after mile. Because the weight is distributed evenly across the frame and sits lower, the setup avoids that top-heavy feel that can lead to sway or push from crosswinds. The result is a smoother, more predictable ride that keeps both truck and camper stable no matter where you travel.
Once installed, the brackets sit tucked up under the body so they’re barely noticeable. When you’re not hauling, just remove the arms and your truck looks almost untouched. The frame-mounted location also means nothing hanging down to catch on obstacles or spoil the lines of your truck.

These tie-downs bolt to pre-existing holes in the frame, so there’s little to no drilling and no cutting required. The custom fit lets them mount tight against the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. That makes installation simple and keeps your truck’s structure strong and unaltered.
Made of steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are ready for rough weather and long miles. The durable coating adds a layer of protection that resists chips and corrosion, so they hold their strength season after season.
Each arm includes two pin holes so you can adjust how far out it extends to clear fenders or sidewalls. Two anchor holes on each plate let you set the best angle for your turnbuckles for a secure hold from multiple directions. Just add turnbuckles (sold separately) and you’re ready to lock your camper down tight for travel.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at these Torklift custom frame-mounted front camper tie downs. Now these are custom fit tie downs, and they're designed to be used on your 1999 to 2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with a 6 3/4 foot bed without board or step underneath your truck bed and with a factory-installed hitch or with a non-Torklift aftermarket hitch or with a Torklift Super Hitch Magnum 30K or with a Torklift Super Hitch Original 20K. Now, on parts like these or a custom-fitted kit, I would recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will let you know if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So these custom tie downs are going to provide attachment points at the front of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. The rear tie downs are sold separately.
And again, you can find those using our fit guide. And these brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame with no loss of ground clearance. And the frame-mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling, because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed is going to better distribute weight to keep your setup for being too heavy. Now these are going to be virtually undetectable when they're not in use. The tie down inserts can be easily removed from the frame-mounted receiver brackets with the included pins.
So lemme just go ahead and give you a brief demonstration of that. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove our pin, (pin clicks) just like that. And then that's going to allow you to remove the insert and then you can just take the inserts and put 'em in the back of the cab of your truck. And as you can see, you'll have this opening here, and then when you're ready to use it, you'll just slide it back in. By the way, I wanted to point out that these inserts do have two holes on them.
So if you need to extend these a little bit wider, you're just going to use the first hole. And then if you need to bring them in for not as wide of a camper, then you're just going to use that second hole. So I'm gonna go ahead and run that to the second hole here so it'll fit on my table, reinsert the bale pin here, and it's got a nice tight tension on there. There we go, we're snapped back into place, (metal clanking) and we are good to go. Now these are made here in the USA of powder coated steel, (metal clanking) and you are going to receive everything that you see here on my table before me.
You're going to receive the two front tie down inserts, the two frame brackets, and all of the necessary hardware that I've laid out here for you is included, along with a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. And this does have a lifetime warranty from Torklift. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.

These tiedowns are designed great and fit function was clearly created by someone who knows not only design but install ! E-trailer is “the” place to buy rv, camper, towing etc products - the install videos are sooooo helpful ! Thx ET !
