Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes
First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.
Easy install. Better control & less wander going down road. Does increase effort when turning tight radius corners. Make sure it is centered & tight on steering rod.

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer for Class A Motor Homes
Bought this for my 2022 Thor Hurricane 22K chassis, it seems as the stroke is too short to be able to turn wheels to the stops. So you don’t get into tight spots very easily with out backing up and repositioning yourself to move forward. Also tightened down the tie rod clamps to spec and the end slid on the tie rod just while trying to make a turn into a parking spot. Later had to get underneath and reposition and find center again. Wish I would have spent the money and got something else. Had a safer plus on previous motor home with no problems
Mine went bad within the first year and was sent a replacement unit quickly. The new one seems to be working fine.

I experienced more steering issues with this on. I had it inspected and reinstalled by three separate installation sites. I now have it sitting in a cupboard. Waste of money. Major regret
Get one, you won't be sorry. I traveled 7250 miles around the US this past summer and the stabilizer performed perfectly keeping the RV from drifting out of lane. This makes driving so much easier. Even in wind gusts the stabilizer was a tremendous aid controlling the RV from lurching left or right. I believe its a good investment.

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes
Easy installation took me less than 40 minutes from start to finish. Test drive was a “remarkable” difference than before.
The hardest part is getting the U-boats off and back on again with 250 pounds of torque took me about an hour and I’m 73 years old so I think anybody could do it. We took it out for a test drive and it makes a big difference with the wheel coming back to center, even my wife found it easier to drive. There is know more drifting.

Tips for installation; 1) Drive and find straight/center with masking tape as described; DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP or rely on if the wheels just look straight. 2) Wire brush (with drill attachment) U-bolts to remove rust. 3) Spray with PB Rust breaker type product and let soak on U-bolts 4) Remove U-bolts with torque wrench to help determine torque setting 5) Follow remainder of etrailer video instructions as they are clear and correct EXCEPT; the black end pieces in which the shock screws into should be set to a thread depth you are comfortable with prior to install to leave room to perform fine adjustments. I reset bracket to make sure the threads had plenty of bite. The hardest part is the fine tuning. I have only put approx. 10miles on it at this point searching for center as I did not do step #1 at first and had to reset the bracket on the drag-link to ensure proper thread depth. As far as performance; Not sure how I feel about it yet. Does hold straight but requires more effort during turns and constant effort to maintain the turn. My rig takes a lot of mico adjustments on the steering wheel going down the road to keep straight and I am concerned this will cause more fatigue rather than less. Getting ready for road trip and will report more after. As far as Etrailer; Excellent communication, quick shipping, good instructional video.
Made steering worse.

Well there's good and less good. The less good is 1yr ago you knew the part # this year you didn't and I had to call mfg to verify. The good is you were pleasant to work with. Shipped the same day and sent me tracking information. Warranty work on my past purchase (Air Force One) braking system problem was not resolved.
So far so good; after installation of the stabilizer the rv steering straight as expected. I have not going the highway yet but... locally; the rig is doing well... and doing very well sitting at the drive way looking pretty!... i have to revisit this review for the final test of 1000 miles. etrailer's staff is very helpful in communication and responsive through email support. I rather pay little more for the product with the proper guidance and advice from etraile'r staff. I included a few pictures after i installed the stabilizer at night. On the installation; the instructions doesn’t instruct you to put red lock tight on the nuts; but i put the lock tight on there anyway to reinsure the nut doesn’t come off due to vibration since the bolt and nut holding the bracket barely shows any treads after torque.

Before installing this stabilizer on our coach you wanted to keep both hands on the wheel due to the drifting around in the lane. After we had it installed, there is no longer a need to use both hands to control the coach and maintain a straight path in our lane.
The part that Amber told me was the correct for my RV does not fit The spring hits the frame and will not allow the shock to rotate up. I also would have to rotate the shock spring unscrewing it ! I will be contacting Roadmaster

Purchased steering stabilizer and swaybar at same time . Better than expected results , much improved wind drift and cornering as well as returning to driving lane from berm . I would highly recommend.
Steering Stabilizer installed on 1974 Grumman (Dodge 400 Series) Motorhome. It really made a big difference - stopped most of the back and forth swaying.

Nick S was GREAT help. He helped me with the right stabilizer for my motor home and had it shipped the very same day. Stabilizer was installed with very little effort and it is making quite a difference in my ability to steer the motor home. I will definitely recommend etrailer to my friends.
I was able to assemble the Reflex Steering Stabilizer by driving up onto 2 X 12 boards, and using my creeper, and an impact gun . It took about an hour to assemble.

For what this cost,I notice no difference in the steering handling from the prior factory set-up. My RV mechanic tells me it's because I have a shorter motor coach at 32 foot. It just gets blown around and handles like a a short wheel base vehicle.
Install was just as depicted and described. The adjustment took the most amount of time and effort. After just a few miles it appears to be doing what is expected.

What our customers are saying:
"WOW! I am impressed! I called to place my order and real person answered, spoke perfect English, albeit a slight southern accent, and my order was sent within a day, shipped quickly and I had it a few days later. I saved over a hundred dollars over local and installed it my self. I cant imagine how that they could do any better. THANKS!"
