Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2023 GMC Terrain and you're trying to accommodate skis with taller bindings, then the Yakima FatCat EVO is gonna be a great option for you. Now, just in general, ski carriers are gonna be a great option for this vehicle, because trying to put your skis back here, you're not gonna have a whole lot of room to put inside your vehicle. And even if you did, you probably don't want all that snow, dirt, or ice that comes along with them inside your car. So keeping them up top is probably gonna be the best option. But let's kinda see how this works.

Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2023 GMC Terrain and you're trying to accommodate those skis with taller bindings, then the Yakima FreshTrack is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. So the reason why a ski carrier is a great fit for this vehicle is 'cause if you are carrying those skis, putting it on top of your roof's probably gonna be the best way to do that. Because trying to store it inside the vehicle is gonna be pretty rough, especially if you have passengers back there, and you probably don't want that ice or snow getting inside your vehicle. But let's take a look at how this is gonna work.

I'm Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2023 GMC Terrain and you're just trying to take your skis from point A to point B, then the Rhino-Rack Ski Carrier's gonna be a great option for you. They're gonna be a great option because if you are trying to take those skis from point B to point A, having them on top of your roof is probably gonna be the best option because you probably don't want any skis that have a lot of snow, dirt, or ice on them inside your vehicle because, one, that's gonna be cramped, and, two, if you have people with you, they probably don't wanna be right next to that. But first, let's kinda see how these work. So right off the bat, opening this up is really easy. All you're gonna have is these buttons.

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at our Rhino-Rack four ski or two snowboard carrier on our 2022 GMC Terrain. Now, as I said, we're going to be able to carry up to four skis, two snowboards, or maybe some fishing rods during the off-season using this carrier. We do have these oversized buttons, so even if we are wearing something like gloves for skiing or snowboarding, just a quick press on them and they do unlatch. They stay open by themselves, which is really nice, so that way when we are loading or unloading our gear, we don't have to worry about holding those open. They stay open themselves, which makes it so much easier just to grab our gear and be good to go.

The Fatcat can carry up to four pairs of skis, two snowboards, or maybe even some fishing rods during the off seasons. So while we are loading or unloading our gear, we actually don't have to worry about supporting these. They stay open themselves, allowing us to simply grab our gear and hit the slopes.

Today on our 2012 GMC Terrain we'll be test fitting part number Y03078, the Yakima FatCat 6 Roof Mounted Ski and Snowboard Carrier. Now our carrier is already preassembled, so we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll start by placing the front carrier on top of the front crossbar. We'll then bring the clamp underneath the crossbar and secure it with the Allen bolt on the other side. With the FatCat 6 you do need to rock the carrier from side to side while you're tightening it down. With all four Allen bolts tight, securing it to the roof rack will then open up the carrier and secure the two Allen bolts within it to prevent it from rocking back and forth.

Today on our 2012 GMC Terrain, we will test fitting the Rockymouts liftop 6 skiing snowboard carrier part no. RKY1461. Now the Rockymounts Liftop 6 does come with the ability to either be secured to the crossbars through the channed if you have it or using the other feet can be used with a standard load bar. Because our vehicle is equiped with the Thule Aeroblade we will go ahead and use the channel. We need to remove the channel cover from both load bars and with the channels exposed we will simply slide the front carrier into the front load bar making sure that the square nuts slide into the channel. We can then open up the carrier and tighten down the Allen Bolt securing the carrier to the loadbar.
