Most Popular Crossbars for 2023 Subaru Forester

These crossbars were easy to install, are sturdy when installed and look great on my factory side rails when installed with the SX Series legs. The standard end caps are an all-plastic affair and use a little key to engage a cam lock. That plus the distance from the end of the crossbar to the nut that tightens the foot onto the rail keeps things relatively secure. Most people probably want to opt for proper locking end caps, though. The rubber vortex strips look nice and give items something grippy to rest on. I haven't tried a load test yet but did drive around in moderate wind on the highway in multiple directions. Other than a slight whistle at 70 mph, you'd never know they were there. Overall, real happy with the product and looking forward to hauling some stuff around with them.

I ordered the Yakima RailGrab Kit with 48" round bars and the Gunwale Canoe Carrier Brackets on the advice of friends who have used a Yakima rack for years. I want to carry a canoe on my Subaru Forester, equipped with factory flush mounted rack, but needed something wider to hold my canoe, which is 38.5" at its center. This system is just the thing. It installs easily and the towers fit my the contours of my factory siderails perfectly. The Gunwale Brackets adjust with a twist-knob to snug up to the canoe for a secure fit. Once they're adjusted to the correct width, loading the canoe is easy-ever-after. Note: the endcaps are included in the RailGrab package, as are two cam straps, so you don't need to buy these. At $300 for everything, etrailer has a great price, and the order was on my porch in less than a week. Emails to customer service were answered promptly, and a follow-up email to ask about my experience prompted me to write this very enthusiastic review. Thanks!

Free Shipping. Was supposed to be 5-6 days but they upgraded us for free and it arrived within 2. Product works just as advertised, easy to install on our 2011 Subaru Forester. Etrailer had excellent reveiews so we ordered from them. They didn't disappoint!

Very good product. The Yakama towers and cross bars feel very solid and appears to be high quality. Very easy install. Others have complained about the instructions, but guess I'm a visual person because the pictures all seemed very clear to me and the install was very easy. They do sit higher than I expected. After adding a Rhino Rack cargo basket, we only have about 4-5" clearance below the garage door.

One bar slid out on our first road trip. The "grip" that it slides into can't be adjusted. I am in communication with Yakima about this as Etrailer said that's the route that I would need to go. Very frustrating.

I originally went to buy these elsewhere but the listing was unclear as to the delivery date and they appeared to be selling a single bar. I found them on etrailer and the order process was smooth, the communication was good and the product arrived when they said it would. Also, they were slightly cheaper here than on the other site. My only suggestion... Dudes... chill with the staples on the box, other than that, I feel pretty good about looking here first the next time I need something for my car.

I got these to replace my OE roof racks. The square shape is perfect for Yakima Bowdown kayak racks. Solid!

One of the lesser expensive rack kits for the Mazda5. etrailer delivered excellent! They had items in stock and shipped quick. I finally had a chance to install it this evening. My only frustration was evening out the bars. Measure, adjust and measure and adjust. I'll look into getting a fairing to reduce wind noise.

Free delivery that showed up in 3 days!!! Can't beat it. The crossbars with the Control Towers and LandingPad 9 fit perfectly on my Honda Element. Had them installed in about 30 mins. Don't have my cargo box yet and wanted to test strength, so I had my 110lb wife standing on them with no issues (yes, the car was parked). Plan to take a long camping trip next week with a cargo box on top...wife will be in the vehicle:-)
