The rack is solidly built and went together easily and seems like it will work well. very solid. When I push or move the rack, the whole SUV moves, so it is very tight. However, if you have an ebike with a rectangular frame, you cannot lock the hooks since the frame blocks the key access. I managed to lock my bike in and could not release it until I moved the wheel trays away from the tires. Luckily the wheel trays don't fit fat tire bikes with tires greater than 3 inches so my bike dropped when the tray was moved so that I could access the lock without having to actually take the bike off of the rack (I have ordered a set of wider trays that will fit 4 inch tires). This approach of removing a bike that is locked in will probably work if someone is trying to take your bike off the rack to steal it as well, since nothing locks the wheel trays in place (there is just a knob that you tighten by hand). So once they are move away there in nothing holding the tires. I would suggest additional security measures if you are in an area where you are concerned about bike thieves. That said I don't think there are any racks on the marke that provide a lot of security. The primary purpose for me is to carry two heavy E-Bikes on my SUV or on my motorhome. This rack is RV rated, carries the weight and is well built. If not for the lock issue and the ease of moving the wheel trays, I would give it 5 Stars. Definitely a solid 4.

I watched the videos on a few bike racks to determine what will work best for me. Just installed this and I think it's going to work great. My wheel base on my bike is a little bigger than what it recommended for this rack so I had to have both the wheel cradles going in the same direction but the straps are verry sturdy to hold the wheels tightly. I fold down the center mast to load the bike then it's easy to tilt it up and lower the top hook.

This rack is solid and gets the job done. We purchased a pair of e-bikes and needed to upgrade our rack. Very happy with our choice of this rack, etrailer promptly shipped the order and it arrived on the date they estimated which was great because we need to pick up the bikes the next morning. Rack was very well packaged and easy to assemble took 30 to 45 minutes and it was ready to go. First trip picking up the bikes was 80 miles and the rack preformed great. The bikes are held solid on this rack and easy to load and unload. We couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Thanks etrailer
