Most Popular Hopkins for 2019 Ford Escape

Just what I need to tow an RV trailer. Also has a four flat connector. Very easy to install on the 18136 bracket.

Hitch, and trailer brake wiring conversion harness, went on my 2014 Ford Escape PERFECTLY.... Mounting, and WIRING went Exactly as Promised. I did install hitch by myself by using a bit of cord to help with the hold in position while bolting up one end first. Then the other. Terrific Assembly. Brake Module, Hitch and Wiring conversion for my Escape work Perfectly when I finished. Thank You, Ken H.

The plug is different from original cord. Doesn’t look as good but we’ll see how it works. 1st new cord

It's a bundle of wires with a plug. Hard to make this type of part special above other brands. Price is the big factor. Not quite sure why this one is 50% less cost than some others. But works as expected. Solved the dreaded taillights blinking while traveling on the road.

This product was everything that is says that it is. Suggestion for hatchback owners, though. See if your reverse lights are in the hatchback or on the fender panels before purchasing this product. If they are in the hatchback, as in the 2014 Escape, then you will need to purchase a longer adapter or additional wiring as the routing of the wires to the closest reverse wire is substantial.

Was fairly easy to install with two people

Love the compact size for both 7way and 5/4 way connections. Install was pretty easy. The wire instructions are for a traditional 7 way color code. Would be nice if they included a RV color code and heavy duty. But just a multi meter or cross reference with your wires manual is all that's needed. I did not give 5 stars because I did not like the 2 flimsy hook connection to attach the wire shield backing to the connector. I reinforced with some black tape because it was sperated. Also would have liked if the 5/4 way door was spring loaded just like the 7 way. I mounted my connection sideways to use gravity to help keep that flap close.

I have not installed it yet but I like that it is sturdy construction with a hefty cap to keep the contacts clean. Extra added bonus is it actually has led's so that you know the connection is good! Only A few days delivery. Looks easy to install, no soldering or wire connectors needed.

Very high quality connector and was easy to install on the car. I wish it would have come the two screws/bolts to install it on the hitch plate. I just picked them up at the local hardware.

This adapter really cleaned up the installation and connected directly to the wiring harness. Maybe added an additional 20 mins to install this adapter but totally worth the time and money.

II use it on my towed vehicle behind the motor home. It allows me to take motor home power to a trickle charger in the towed vehicle and connect to the towed vehicle wiring. The four prong receptacle provides outlet to be used if there is ever in need for a four prong fitting good.

It took awhile to receive my order, but I was informed by e-mail and was kept informed when I should expect delivery. Luckily, was in no rush, so I would reply and wait for an update from you. i received the connector in good condition. Thank you!

Easy install thanks

I have used etrailer probably four or five times now and have been very happy. Shipping is fast, prices are reasonable and the products are of good quality. I purchased more of the Quick Fix 4 Pole Trailer Ends - they work really well for the non-automotive industrial control project I am working on.

I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. Attached are before and after pictures.

I rewired my light bar for my boat trailer with the items I purchased. Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years

Great- just as advertised. Good price. Easy install

I do not recommend this product. I bought this for my truck. It seems to be the nicest looking plug on the market but after the first rain, the plug was filled with water. I changed the location from the hitch to the bumper and once again the plug was filled with water after it rained. This condition will obviously lead to terminals corroding and/or wires being shorted out. I have bought a different style plug, unfortunately the same brand but hopefully I will have better luck. May be able to drill a small drain hole in the casing to allow water to escape but shouldn't have to do this on a new product.

While I was disappointed the item was out of stock for 2 weeks, Carla and Anna kept me up to date with statuses while I waited. I've bought a bunch of items now at e-trailer and will continue to come back again and again. They always have what I'm looking for at the best prices.

Standard wire harness.

The quality of the materials for this wire connector is very high, especially the insulation on the wires. One thing to note is the wire colors do not match the standard colors associated with this style of 7-Way plug. Definitely use a continuity tester to determine which wire goes to which blade in the plug. Other than that, this is a good product for the price.

I received a 5' cable, not a 6' one. Which really upsets me as it pretty much means I can not use the EZ Connector Pogo Trailer Cable Holder I also purchased to hold the cable up out of the way of the pivoting hitch. Other then that, the connector is molded on, so that is good.

Got here in reasonable amount of time will know more when I install it

Exactly what I needed to tidy up my mast wires on my sailboat.

Well, my first impression of this item is it is very sturdy and will be a great addition to my trailer.

I keep forgetting to put dialectric grease in my trailer electrical plugs but these cables are easy to replace when using the terminal strip junction boxes.

Nice product & good value imo--it's very beefy and appears to be heavy duty---I know these are supposed to be temporary---that said this one replaced a Reese connector connector exact same style w/LEDs that was almost 17 years old before it failed--hopefully this lasts even close to that amount of time--I don't use this trailer daily usually not even weekly---so maybe with commercial trailer use this connector isn't for you..... It's my considered opinion that many of the fails are the result of a lousy install or someone disconnecting by pulling on the harness INSTEAD of grabbing the connector either way this gets an A+ from me
