Perfect adapter for pulling a hayride trailer!

I received this item in a plastic bag, for a few moments i wondered if it was a knock-off. I had done my home work and was sure that this item would be compatible with the socket on my John Deere 2013 5085M at the time I ordered it, not so. The 'holding ridge' at the plug-in end was not in the right position when fully inserted into the plug on the tractor. I sent multiple pictures to Pollack Technical Support but they were unable to assist me. I finally modified the item myself (something I really hate to do) so that it would fit the plug-in and be 'grasped' by the cover/holder on the tractor side. As I anticipated, the thickness of the plastic was inadequate to make the adaptation 'sweet', so I had to cover the resulting hole with silicone caulk.

Perfect. Fit the plug in my '86 F-250 Camper Special & converted it to the round 6 easy. The man that installed the old round 7 plug had wired it differently to accommodate non-integrated tail lights/brake lights on his application, however, referring to the Hopkins website for the illustrated wiring diagrams & comparing them to what was on the truck, I was able to quickly correct the wiring for my standard application. Couldn't be happier with the build/fit/availability of the adapter & e-trailer sent it quick so it was here in time to use it the following weekend as planned.

Very informative and actually found a simple solution to my issue with less parts with the least expense.
