17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I've been using this Cargo Carrier on my 4 Runner Venture for about a year now. I Purchased this item to haul extra gear to Nags Head from Northwestern Virginia. Installation was a breeze and it's very, very sturdy. I had two Yeti coolers packed with ice and drinks and there was no wobbling at all. I'm a 197 pounds and I was standing on it after I installed it just to check for durability and this thing is a beast. I also used this as a rod holder while on the beach and I caught a 6 foot black tip shark. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item and I would recommend to a friend.
This is a substantial, well-made product at exactly the size I needed - smaller than many, and with sides that keep items secure. It was very easy to assemble, with all parts included and clearly sorted, and with all pieces manufactured to cleanly align. The item arrived promptly, packed to protect the shipment but without waste. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a high-quality cargo carrier.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
Super disappointed in this etrailer purchase. The product came in a large box that was fully intact and not damaged. The actual cargo basket was meticulously wrapped and appeared to be brand new as expected. The other components however, like the arm, were in boxes that were smashed, old, worn, and had multiple layers of old tape. The arm itself was scratched and banged up, even rusty in spots. Clearly it was used or had been a returned item. If I wanted a dented, gouged, and rusty Cargo Carrier I would have purchased one used, for half the price. This is not the quality I expect from etrailer.. I have purchased many racks and other items from this company and usually the quality is outstanding. This time they dropped the ball. I have since read other reviews and it is apparent that this is not an isolated incident. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so damn heavy and awkward to lug around.
Holds all my gear. Just what I was hoping for. Now my dogs have the car all to themselves. Really bummed that there are "Made in China" stickers all over it. I went with etrailer because I thought they were a USA company. I guess no one can turn down that cheap slave labor. Hopefully my gear does not end up on the highway.

19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
I used the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier to extend the luggage capacity of my 2010 Toyota Matrix. I had the hitch put on at Uhaul which would have been great but it rubbed against the exhaust pipe. They were great and offered to pay $30 toward a Midas Muffler service ticket to bend the exhaust slightly. The Carrier was fairly simple to assemble but required a 17 and 19 mm socket to assemble quickly. The carrier rode smoothly for over 400 miles and I was pleased I had no issues with it. The Matrix had no problems with the added weight.
Mounted on a 2005 Toyota Matrix. Clearance is nice - was even able to back up into my in-law's semi-steep drive without scraping. The carrier on my RV always scrapes and, as you might imagine, it's significantly higher than on the Matrix. Nice product. After assembly I spray painted all the hardware for corrosion protection. Seemed like a good idea. I don't know if I'd go cheaper than $100. This is nice, but I don't see where there's corners to be cut. The floor is pretty thin gauge steel mesh as is. This will just barely fit a child's wooden wagon... exactly our needs.

Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ 2 Enclosed Cargo Carriers - 2" Hitches
Very interesting! I am pleased with this purchase. All of this equipment is well built and was designed with ease of use and security in mind. The hitch part is surprisingly pretty heavy, but once it is connected this weight gives the hitch a sturdy feel. The lockers are pretty big and the material though light weight feels like it will hold up to some rough miles and a few bruises. It is so nice to have this much dry secure and easy to access storage outside of our vehicle. Customer service was excellent and delivery times were surprisingly short.
Very easy to install. Total installation time (not counting taking photos and opening boxes) was approximately 15 minutes. The only issue I encountered was the left handle on the lower rack had a broken piece inside the locking pin assembly. Other than that, everything was quick and smooth for a single person job. This will greatly assist my business by allowing more room for passenger comfort on long trips to and from airports with a large party. Looking forward to putting this to use.

"I just wanted to let you guys know how great I think your website is. I am a very handy guy, but was weary about installing an electric brake controller on my 2001 F150. That changed after viewing the excellent instructions and pictures on your site! Thanks a bunch, Tim"
